I'm reviewing...
Revisado: 04-24-25
I have to review this free book on audible so that I don't come back in 3 months and wonder if I've ever listened to it, only to buy the dam thing and find out that I already listened to it and audible won't refund me.

Good, kept my interest
Revisado: 04-21-25
There was one small point in the story that I felt like maybe it was going to fall flat and I was going to be annoyed. But it picked up and had a great finish.

Historia
I had it all: a fantastic husband, two great kids, an exciting career. And then, at the age of forty-three, I found out I would be dead before my next birthday. My mother also died young. I was seventeen, and she warned me that women would flock to my suddenly single father like stray cats to an overturned milk truck. They did. And one absolutely evil woman practically destroyed his life, mine, and my sister’s. I am not letting that happen to my family. I have three months, and I plan to spend every waking minute searching for the perfect woman to take my place as Alex’s wife.

NOT a thriller
Revisado: 04-16-25
Boring and slow. Please tag books appropriately. This is drama fiction with a dose of a twist towards the end.. The characters are very annoying.

Historia
Liz Dawson weaves through a crowd with the ease of a tropical breeze; she’s clever, smooth, and confident—qualities that make her a brilliant serial con artist. Isabelle Beresford is strikingly beautiful, obscenely wealthy, and the new owner of Casa Esmerelda, a fabulous villa on the Mexican coast—attributes that make her the perfect mark. When she offers Liz a job handling the installation of a piece of art in her otherwise vacant home, Liz can’t resist the allure of a beach retreat. But when Liz is mistaken for Isabelle herself, Liz can’t help slipping into the socialite’s identity.

Really good, The main character was just so stupid.
Revisado: 04-07-25
I liked all the drama and twists. But the main character who is supposed to be a "clever fox" is pretty dumb and I guess extremely lucky with what she got away with the entire time. Maybe everyone is just really dumb.

Characters were so very annoying
Revisado: 02-22-25
I didn't love this book. The main character acted like a horny teenager that couldn't control herself at all. idk how many times she said she wasn't going to do something but then just did it anyway.

The only thing annoying is that I was duped into buying this.
Revisado: 02-17-25
It's a short story, first of all. So don't go into this thinking of any investment. The second thing that's annoying is that this short story was free a couple months ago. I listened to it, enjoyed it, forgot about it. It showed up again on my recommendations. I see all the great reviews and decide to buy it since it's cheaper than a credit. I've heard this before...hmmm... yes definitely. Then I realize. I can't return because I didn't use a credit. Sneaky audible, real sneaky... So I am now leaving reviews for all books no matter what to ensure I know what I have or haven't read. There really should be a spot that says, "titles you have read whether free or not" or "titles you've tried that totally sucked so don't try these again". but what so I know? I'm just a lowly sucker for reading.

I was scared but intrigued from the beginning. The performance was so good and I felt so much for the little boy. So heartbreaking. the ending threw me off and I had to sit and consider if it ruined everything for me. but thankfully it didn't. So good, thrilling, and a bit sad.
