Is pettiness a word, if it isn't, then it should be. I laughed and cried, got mad and felt relieved. I think Alice's story may be my favorite of Molly's stories since, The Single Undead Moms Club. Worth the listen, and Amanda is fantastic as always! Thanks y'all for the awesome books!

Virtual Voice can be distracting

The female lead wants to be called Ally, and Virtual Voice doesn't pronounce it like alley, but as ally (like an ally in war). It is very distracting, and why did Virtual Voice change the annunciation of 1010 from ten ten as it is in previous books to one thousand ten? It's weird, but the book is great!

I have listened to a dozen Virtual Voice narrated books recently, but the annunciation of Dr. as "dry or drive" in this book really caused me issues. Other than that, it was a good book.

Don't let the book info fool you

I loved this book, and all the others in this series, but I was thrown off by the name of the characters. If you read the "About this book" blurb, it says the main character's brother's name is Sean... however the narrator says his name is Liam... I was very confused about that to start with, but got over it quickly.

Fun and Suspenseful

I enjoyed the plot twists and turns that kept you thinking you knew who dunit. The most endearing part of this book was the main characters willingness to be there for another person as best she could. The voice acting is superb and brought all the characters to life.

Predictable but entertaining

This story was ok, there should be warnings though, I could see some people having issues with a few of the topics. The SA when the heroine is a minor were very disturbing to me, but this author seemed to imply it was not a big deal because her virginity was not compromised. That is absolutely disgusting, and enraging. With the main male characters all having a lack of moral fortitude, I did not find the characters endearing, or interesting enough to continue the series. The narration was excellent.

Cute and steamy story

This novella seems to be a prequel, and I have never read any of the main series, so I can only judge this as a stand alone. It has a slow start. I appreciate the author's trigger warning at the beginning, because this touches on some very sensitive subjects. I think it was written very well, with the issues addressed in a tactful way. The only downside is that there was a lot of "what if" talk mentioned in the book which I felt downplayed the seriousness of an anxiety disorder.

Good read, but becoming predictable

I enjoyed the stories and the characters were fairly good, but by the third book it was becoming more predictable. The main couples all have an element of hate/disdain, and the struggle to not be attracted/in love. It is almost a bit high schooling. Aside from the spicy love scenes it could be a young adult book. Honestly, I could take or leave the love scenes as well, as they don't add anything of substance to the book as a whole. I do love that Eve is able to write the spice without making it sound like the characters are ashamed or shy about their needs. The narration was great and brought the quirks out in the characters as well as their inner beasts.

Good stories, but horrible narration

I had to speed this up to two times the normal speed, because of the narrators mispronouncing so many words. If I hadn't liked the story line so much, I would have just given up on it about halfway through the second book.

I'm confused. Is this a TBC???

I had to listen to it twice because I was very lost at the end. There was no resolution to three main issues from the beginning of the book. 1, The Sunshine Murders. 2, What to do about the oversight committee's shenanigans with Anita. 3, The big bad fire-breathing dragon. For the first time ever, I am not impressed with a book by Laurel K Hamilton. If it had ended with a to be continued or something that let me know more of this story was coming, I would have been less irritated.
