Started out so good!
Revisado: 05-03-25
The ending felt rushed and questionable at best. I was left hoping for the same amount of care and feeding put into the first 2 thirds of the book.

Enjoyed from beginning to end!! Impressive debut!
Revisado: 03-25-24
I wanted to like the main character but found her to be completely overreactive in the extreme! Thankfully the surrounding characters were less so which gave the story balance. Very entertaining and engaging for a first time author! I hope writes a sequel featuring Nia who was one of my favorite characters in On Rotation.

Historia
Titus Crown is the first Black sheriff in the history of Charon County, Virginia. In recent decades, quiet Charon has had only two murders. But after years of working as an FBI agent, Titus knows better than anyone that while his hometown might seem like a land of moonshine, cornbread, and honeysuckle, secrets always fester under the surface. Then a year to the day after Titus’s election, a school teacher is killed by a former student and the student is fatally shot by Titus’s deputies. As Titus investigates the shootings, he unearths terrible crimes.

Revisado: 03-01-24
First time listener to this author and narrator and am certain will NOT BE THE LAST!!!! I and my husband were simply blown away by the richness and depth of the story and the uncanny abilities of the narrator to bring such effortless uniqueness and nuance to each character. He was especially skilled at female voices. I’m from Virginia and he was spot on!!! I knew it had to end but the characters felt so real that they will be with me for many years to come. My hope is that there will one day be a continuation of the story of Titus, his beautiful family, and his next career choice. Until then, I will devour every single book that S.A. publishes.

Historia
Finlay Donovan has been in messes before—after all, she's an author and single mom who's a pro at getting out bloodstains for rather unexpected reasons—but none quite like this. After she and her nanny/partner-in-crime Vero accidentally destroyed a luxury car that they may have "borrowed" in the process of saving the life of Finlay's ex-husband, the Russian mob got her out of debt. But now Finlay owes them.

Historia
Finlay Donovan is - once again - struggling to finish her next novel and keep her head above water as a single mother of two. On the bright side, she has her live-in nanny and confidant Vero to rely on, and the only dead body she's dealt with lately is that of her daughter's pet goldfish. On the not-so-bright side, someone out there wants her ex-husband, Steven, out of the picture. Permanently. Whatever else Steven may be, he's a good father, but saving him will send her down a rabbit hole of soccer moms disguised as hit-women.

Revisado: 07-19-23
I enjoyed audiobook 1 so much that I originally borrowed from my local library that I decided not to delay before using my credits to purchasing the next one on Audible! Book 2 did not disappoint and I’m planning to use another credit for Book 3. Finlay and Vero are fantastic together along with the others characters! Love it, but what transforms it is the narration!!! Angela Dawe is superb at bringing the story to life!!! Thanks Elle Cosimano for sharing your talent!!!

Historia
Touré Wallace and Niomi Spencer were close friends at Finley College, the prestigious HBCU they attended. The attraction that simmered between them every semester was a question they never got to ask or answer before soaring ambitions launched them to opposite corners of the world. Both chased their dreams of grit and glamor as high-profile journalists. They got it all...except a shot at being more than friends. Years later, Touré is an award-winning investigative journalist and Niomi is America's most popular morning-show host, but they both feel like something’s missing.
