Narration. Is as good o better than R.C. I listen to either with enthusiasm.

Historia
When an experiment to study quantum uncertainty goes spectacularly wrong, physics student Bill Rustad and his friends find that they have accidentally created an inter-dimensional portal. They connect to Outland - an alternate Earth with identical geology, but where humans never evolved. The group races to establish control of the portal before the government, the military, or evildoers can take it away. Then everything changes when the Yellowstone supervolcano erupts in an explosion large enough to destroy civilization and kill half the planet.

Historia
A rogue Russian nuke sails toward the harbors of Los Angeles in the hull of a ramshackle sailboat. Without destroying a single building, the bomb shatters the latticework of the American dream, toppling one piece of the economy after another. A group of Special Forces veterans and their prepper friends scramble for survival in a worldwide catastrophe so psychologically disruptive they are left questioning everything they ever believed to be true.

Fascination, eye opening and amazing regarding how realistic
Revisado: 01-07-25
Narrator was great, story just as good. I wondered if I could sleep as I listened to the first 10% but then the story settled down. The rest of the story was realistic enough and remained captivating. Really opens one's eyes as to how fragile our supply chain is and what the impact would be if rattled. Only regret is my not finding it until 2024/2025 after being published in 2018.

Great "read". Great "story". Great "narration"
Revisado: 12-04-24
Narrator was even better. Now I have an alternative to R.C. Bray occasionally. The escape from capture near the "reckoning" might have been a bit intense as compared to appropriate dips into reality occasionally done so well before that. Well worth the time.

Historia
Ben Dailey's Viper Company has one motto: Play hard and fight even harder. The crew is comprised of some of the most elite fighters in the Fleet, though occasionally overconfident and, some might say, obnoxious. So when Dailey is handed down a mysterious, high-security mission that's ostensibly a search-and-rescue for his once-upon-a-time academy rival turned brother in arms, he's convinced there's more to the job than meets the eye. Soon, the USF Murphy is on its way to the edge of the Void to track down what happened to Capt. Rick Bearing and the Asher-5.

Historia
Ex-Army paratrooper Griffin “Fin” Brooks thought he left danger behind when his battlefield injuries forced him to pursue a new career in marine biology. But one fateful night off the coast of South Africa, a ship nearly crashes into him and his loyal golden retriever, Jacques. Not just any ship. A starship. Though its alien pilot is dead, the rare extraterrestrial animal inside is not. Fin learns the creature is being smuggled across the galaxy when a pair of interstellar visitors respond to the crash. But those same investigators accuse Fin and his dog of crimes he didn’t even know existed.

I wasn’t supposed to survive. The station has been hit. Everyone around me is dead. I have 11 hours of life support left and no way of contacting Earth. I’m alone. I’m stranded. I’m desperate. But I’m alive. The more of the station I explore, the surer I get that this was no accident. Someone did this, and I don't think they're finished yet.

Amazing this was offered 'free' to catch attention, was fantastic
Revisado: 05-23-24
Amazing this was offered 'free' to catch attention, was fantastic. I took the dare, delete button all warmed up if any sign of a bad taste. I had read Weir's book and liked it, this was along the same lines as to a single narration. From the start, apocalyptic beginnings, to the robot, the incoming ship of aliens (or not) then to the parrot, a great story. Held my interest the entire time and thus I placed it in that great change of pace category while remaining true to SF themes. Cannot wait to start the next in series.

Some major flaws to fix
Revisado: 05-05-24
Where to start. Virtual Voice almost drove me away in 3 chapters yet I hung on. Got used to it to a degree. Pleasant enough however a near monotone was tough to deal with After the first ten bleeps of me detecting a robot reading ate / 8, breath / breath, out of context readings. Bad.
The story itself has promise yet about 3:4 through got very thin on content. Order given/order repeated. Discussion of some shadow newbie topic. Eventually tore the story apart as the author tried to start a bridge to a sequel. I tried. Road too long. Step 1, stop being cheap. Pay a voice actor. Maybe not RC but note silicon. Get past that and put some emotion into the story line then flesh out the story. If done by RC it would cost me a credit. Paying a credit for this hurt but I stayed to the end.

Great narration. I like him as much or more than RC. Story is a wild ride, twisting and turning. I never knew who was friend or foe, as designed, as it flipped back and forth. Well worth your investment of time.
