I enjoyed this book. I thought the twist between the brothers was interesting. Daisy got on my nerves with Adonnis but I can see why she had to see thing for herself after dealing with Jasper.

While I didn't enjoy the annoying heroine Jo, the hero was loveable. The story was well written. The characters were really developed. This was a good drama with an interesting cast of characters.

I enjoyed this much better than I did my first book by the author which was Message from a Mistress. I'm listening out of order. The characters were developed as well as the plot. Sometimes with flashbacks, the flow of the story is disrupted. The way the flashbacks were the focal point and the present was presented as "interludes" prevented the interruption. it was obvious who was going to be the stalker, but there was still an interesting twist to that revelation.

Enjoyable sequel

The author built upon the momentum in book one. The characters continued to evolve as did the storyline at a steady pace. The characters were developed and the storyline was well structured. Although, Tiffany was not a likeable characater, the supporting characters were a good mix of personatlities. Tressa's storyline evolved in a very oranic way that made sense as did Tracy's. The author did a great job of depicting how adult relationships manifest and grow. i wouldn't have been mad a spinoff featuring Maya and Darrell or the supporting cast. OR one with Steven reeling with his involvement in Tressa's storyline..

disappointing

I listened to this book on Audible. The narrator did a good job.
I was expecting a psychological thriller just as the title suggests. This was more of a wrong place, wrong time situation and reincarnation . Maybe part 2 will fulfill what the title and summary suggest.


The listen time is 3:58. I am at the 2:51 mark and have yet to see any evidence of the complex killer(Wheeler) or the female lead (Jenny) being assaulted by horrific snippets. Although, Bob being a jerk was the one thing that stood out.

Disappointing

I listened to this book on Audible. The narrator did a good job as usual. However, on the production side, I would have liked for them to edit out the swallowing, lip smacks and extended pauses.

Of an 8 1/2 hour listen only 1 hour of it had something of value or interest. Maybe, because the title hinted at so much more. The few moments of interest were treated as mere blips on the interest radar. They were glossed over so quickly that if you weren't paying attention you missed it. 5 hours in and finally something to keep my attention-a heartbreaking event and then 6 1/2 hours a death, an assault, a betrayal and a birth. The dialogue between these young female characters felt like an episode of the Golden Girls more times than not and not in a funny comedic way. The characters were difficult to connect to in this tale.

This is definitely a bedtime story. It lulls you to sleep with its painfully slow pace and lack of movement. Maybe I'm not the author's target audience, but I couldn't help feeling this watered down drama was meant for those who are in their golden years.

• This book had real potential, but it missed the mark on almost every level. The author had a good group of characters and the perfect setup for a hot read, but failed. This story should have picked up after a prologue that included flashback of how she got to the point of being pregnant. The epilogue should have been chapter 1. Because this was unfortunately was the best part of the story.

• Hmm Terrence’s reason for marrying her was almost ludicrous. He saw her and she was pretty so he wanted to marry her and have kids?

unnecessary prequel

while the prequel was interesting, it didn't add much value to the series. everything discussed was explained in book 1.

the author did a good job of giving you a complete story with room to grow. however, the narrator didn't quite deliver. and it was only when she attempted to perform certain characters with accents. you had to listen really closely to understand what was being. said.
