Historia
The Murder Farm is a place where any villain, serial killer, terrorist, or outlaw can go to seek asylum or conduct any business of their choosing. The price of such a service is, of course, exorbitant. Run by a family of three—Pop, Mum, and Betty—the Murder Farm is infamous in the underworld for its discreet and hospitable caretakers. One evening, however, the villain Doctor Talky and his band of miscreants arrive, and things start to go haywire.

Enjoyable
Revisado: 05-31-22
Gruesome, childlike, with Dick Tracy like characters. I had a difficult time with the almost childish language until I realized this was mostly from the point of view of a teen with no outside of mom and dad life experience. Mr. Hopkins created an interesting story and enjoyed his history of this idea afterward. He has creative imagination built for film and this would be a fun one. I would be interested in hearing more of Gravedigger Dave Presents.

Loved it, can't wait for the next book.
Revisado: 05-16-22
If your looking for non-stop action and magic battles this isn't the book for you. It is not a quick-paced book, but I found it engaging and enjoyable. I related to the main character and understood how she felt. The descriptions were wonderfully done without being too descriptive and boring, I drift off if authors dive too much into the description. This was an original story and I enjoyed the magical world the author created, the narrator did a wonderful job, and will look for other books she's narrated.

Engaging story
Revisado: 12-18-21
Normally on long fantasy stories 15 hours or longer there is a dull or boring part I have to force myself to get through. This book did not have that, I was engaged all the way through. Miller did a great job with his descriptions, I could see what he described but he didn't go overly descriptive. I will be listening to the next book.

Historia
Welcome to Sunder City. The magic is gone, but the monsters remain. I'm Fetch Phillips, just like it says on the window. There are a few things you should know before you hire me: 1. Sobriety costs extra. 2. My services are confidential. 3. I don't work for humans. It's nothing personal - I'm human myself. But after what happened, to the magic, it's not the humans who need my help.

Love the world he created
Revisado: 09-03-20
Luke Arnold did a great job creating this world and in my opinion was a very original idea. I did not predict the turns in this story and it kept me entertained. The thing I most look for in a book is will it entertain and allow me to escape. When listening to books I want to get so involved in the story that I forget I'm washing dishes or other mundane chores. This book did that, and as author and narrator Luke Arnold did a great job. I did get a little lost with past verses present timelines but was able to figure it out and it didn't retract from the story line. I would like to see where Fetch will go from here.

Had to keep listening
Revisado: 08-29-20
I never realized this book had been split and released in 6 parts. I would have loved to have read them as each part was published. The story keeps you engaged and the main character/narrator is relatable. Frank Muller narrates this story with the elegance it deserves, If I know he is the narrator I know the performance will be great no matter the story. I have, of course seen the movie and like most the book is always better. Hearing Kings true vision of the book is poetic and the screen can't do the words justice.

Historia
From New York Times best-selling author Stephen Graham Jones comes a novel that is equal parts psychological horror and cutting social commentary on identity politics and the American-Indian experience. Fans of Jordan Peele and Tommy Orange will love this story as it follows the lives of four American-Indian men and their families, all haunted by a disturbing, deadly event that took place in their youth. Years later, they find themselves tracked by an entity bent on revenge, totally helpless as the culture and traditions they left behind catch up to them in a vengeful way.

Worth it
Revisado: 08-25-20
When I first started this book I was doing chores and found myself getting a little lost, due to my own lack of attention. I didn't think it would keep my interest and was going to stop listening. I changed my mind the more I listened; suddenly found myself deep into the story and wanting to know how it was going to end. The narrator did an excellent job, made the story come to life. I will be looking for both the author and narrator in the future.

Excellent ride
Revisado: 07-03-20
I loved the first book Terminal List and was looking forward to listening to this one, I almost didn't listen due to all the reviewers talking about the redacted issue. There are some parts of the book where they use the word redacted a lot, it's not through the whole book and it didn't bother me. I disappear into the story and characters and I feel with the main character in his joy and pain. The author and narrator do a great job bringing everything to life.

It took awhile
Revisado: 04-25-20
This was my first introduction to Yahtzee Croshaw and he didn't disappoint. It took a bit for me to truly get invested in the characters and story, but it happened with out me realizing it; I suddenly realized I needed to keep listening. Yes the PC thing got a little much but I enjoyed that, it was meant to be over the top.
