top 10 of my 3899 audible books "From" inspired

WOW just WOW. It reminds me sort of the series From. It has my favorite themes blizzard, post apocalyptic (not really its just an isolated town), and monsters!!!

A couple driving to their honeymoon destination runs into a snowstorm - in the middle of summer and their car gets stuck. They trek through the snow to find help. The snow literally turns into a blizzard and them abruptly stops at the edge of a town. Everyone acts strange and the sheriff helps them find a house to sleep in and gets them warm clothes. The residents can't leave and there's a raging blizzard that always surrounds the town. No one who has left returns back.

not to give too much away........the town, though surrounded by a blizzard is relatively snow free just cold. They are completely cut off from the outside world. Food arrives at their one and only diner by an unknown person and if they pry too much trying to see or find out who it is they are punished with no new supplies for a few days!

when the residents see snow starting to fall they RUN home shut &U lock the doors. Within minutes the outside blizzard is now inside the town and a monster comes with it every time. By morning a resident is butchered and a mysterious frozen lifelike faceless statue depicting them is erected near by. There are dozens of statues in the town..

We finally start to get some answers with the Sheriff, the honeymooning husband (whose wife thinks it's all a strange hoax, an escape convict and a few other residence decide to go on the offenxese and find a way to escape. They organize and soon learn more than they wanted to!!

VERY good character development, imagery is amazing, story line is obviously fantastical but believable and narration is superb. I have almost 4,000 titles and only listen to post apocalyptic, horror etc. and this is in my top 10. After chapter 3 I purchased part 2!!! WELL WORTH THE CREDIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WOW,!!! Virtual Voice wasn't bad but OMG if they had Sean Runette, Ray Porter etc. narrating this it would be phenomenal .

Its a new take on Vampire/Werewolves post apocalyptic world. TONS of new scenerios, characteristics ideas etc.

Sarah and a group of 4 other survivors go out scavanging for their "camp" of about 50 people. The world had been overrun with Vampires and not quite as many werewolves. (I know it sounds cheesy but I promise it is NOT). The find something while scavenging and bring it "home" The feral Vamps show up & want it back but the survivors are not willing to part with it. So the attacks begin. Luckily for them the vampires sleep in nests during the day and NOTHING wakes them. If you can find them during the day you can stake a whole nest without any of them every waking.

As you can imagine everything goes wrong. I'm praying there is a book #2!!!

Please splurge and get a human reader. Like I said the virtual Voice isn't bad but with this good of writing, character development, storyline etc. It really needs a human to make you feel you're right there with them

I'm downloading everything I can find from this author -If the other books are just half as good as this one I'll be over the moon with it. PLEASANTLY surprised!..........off to purchase as many of his books as I can.

WOW what a hidden gem! WELL worth the credit!

Great "ghost" story but not one thing was cliche or predictable !!! I loved it. i have 3,000 audible books and most are horror, thrillers & post apocalypse[pic this is definitely in my top 10.

It's actually 2 books in one. The first is a man haunted in his new flip house. Great back story, very believable and not your typical ghost story. Part one lagged in a few spots but part 2 which explains how the place came to be haunted was PHENOMENAL!!!!! That one section alone could have been a movie.

don't hesitate - get it! off to see what else the author has written. I'll get it no matter what!

WOW! This author is AMAZING!!! I'm not a virtual Voice fan but this was ok. I get goosebumps thinking about a J R Rice / Sean Runnette pairing. (even RC Bray would be great!)

Great background and character development in the beginning. The stage is set beautifully for the action. Scary scenes ARE ACTUALLY scary. OMG There's a scene where they nonchalantly look over and the creature peaks in the doorway. It's like an audio jumpscare!!

I cannot say enough.except PLEASE use a real narrator. This series should DEFINITELY be made into a movie.

WELL WORTH A CREDIT - I'd literally use 2 credits on it!!!

So six women who were kidnapped and on the way to a sex / slave auction are now living with & going to help the main character save humanity. (it's 100 years in the future and technology is non existent - mind you the population of the world is fine there's no shortage of men AND they are actively recruiting mean and women to help bring the world back into modern times) They decide that each of them will take turns having sex with him because he can't pick just one partner since they all report to him. It would show favoritism. Dude go back to playing your video games

for the love of GOD. I don't know one female reader that could get past this wall/chapter!!

What a pleasant surprise! Ive read the book & watched the movie yet I caught myself tensing in anticipation even though I had an idea what was about to happen! Narration - omg was perfect!

Download NOW you will not regret it

Off to see who narrators were especially book, hannah, Samuel of course but Elaine books sister was great!

Love these horror anthologies!

Usually you get short weird stories where authors get a chance to be artistic without the worry. This is NOT that kind of a group of tales!!

Most of these are scary. Some of these, and I LOVE horror books, I had to turn off & turn the lights on!! Truly scary.

I listened to the first one and half way through purchased the next 2 anthologies!!! It's that good!!!!

I accidentally read this out of order and I'm glad I did! It's a prequel and explains ALLOT!

Read Hope's End first. It's set in 1891 and tells you everything that's going on.

So basically a lady is being held by coworkers at a dig in the US southwest present day. Apparently they're waiting for something/someone. She, Stella, has an 8 year old boy with her named David. David is a Navajo. They are able to escape but are hijacked by bank robbers. Cole, the leader, his brother and three other men. They find an isolated cabin to wait out the storm. Two, including the brother are killed and the next night one of them comes back asking for something!!!!

You slowly get more info as to what is "out there" but if you read book 3 Hope's End it not only explains it but does not ruin or mess up anything. READ IT FIRST.

I love the series. My only complaint is that too many people freeze with a monster literally coming for them slowly and don't scream out for help or run. I can see some people doing that but more than one does in each book. It is a bit much!

I love the series and downloaded all four after reading Hope's End. I'm listening to one of his other books now "Sleep Disorders" and so far so good. Run don't walk to purchase!!!!! you will NOT regret it!!

HORRIBLE narration sounds like youtuber from...

OMG the author narrates and I cannot get past the first chapter (actually I skipped to mid book to see if it got better....it did NOT)

She draws out the last syllable of the last word in the sentence EVERY time!! I have 3154 titles in my library and I have never returned a book based on narration alone until now!!!!

I couldn't access the sample when I purchased this book & based it solely on the description which sounded amazing. I just checked and yes the annoying speech pattern is there in the sample. There's a youtuber with the name CHILLS and that's what she sounds like. Instead of standing out from the crowd she disperses it!!!
