I really enjoyed this series.

I've read a few books by this author and they've all been good. This series has a lot more substance though.
Don't get me wrong, I love the usual smuttiness and that's what I came for, but in this one there's actual people with full stories behind the yumminess.

I don't mind the virtual voice like most of the reviewers do.
I go through so many books that I've gotten used to it so it doesn't faze me anymore. (Except for the one female voice with the British accent.. that one kills me)
To be honest sometimes I come across books with voice actors that are so ridiculously over-acted that I would prefer they just didn't.
That's my little opinion for whatever it's worth.

Normally I wouldn't write a review on this type of book.
I'm very new to mm erotica but I've been reading a bunch of it lately because it really dragged me in.
I'm a middle aged married mom so it took me by surprise just how sexy this genre is to me.
This book in particular!
I love this couple. Wes and Ashby are perfect for each other. Especially after a three year divide. The author really made this relationship feel special. It's very well written. I wish we could follow our guys to France and see where life takes them because I'm not ready to be finished with them yet!

This isn't just a smutty book.

It's so much more than that.
I'll admit that I'm pretty shocked at this series because obviously this isn't the norm for a Riley Rose.
I love the weirdness of her stories but this something completely different.
I didn't care for Allies character at first but she's growing on me. Still a negative person though life does that.
I think she accidentally found her person though and it's either going to be a beautiful hea with great sex..
or it could lead to a horrible heartbreak.
I'm kinda invested now so I'm moving on to #3.

This book isn't what you'd expect.

It's actually much better.
There are parts of the female character that are annoying I guess, but it kinda adds to the story and makes it interesting.
She's irritatingly complicated and confused about who she is but that also makes her so much different than what is expected for this type of book. I didn't think the story behind all the sex would be so good, but there you go.
I noticed there are parts 2 and 3 also so that's where I'll be.

Savage Hearts

Man...
I found this series by luck a few days ago. Since then I've listened to the 3 books in this series back to back.
I definitely walked around a little red faced and flustered while doing my house cleaning this week.
I don't like spoilers so I won't say anything to ruin it for anyone else. What I will say is that I loved all three of these books so much.
If you're reading reviews like I did, trying to decide if it's worth using the credit, it is so worth it!
The only downside is now I can't wait for the next one!
In the meantime I might start over and listen to them again.

Ruthless creatures

I read through the reviews before I bought this book yesterday. I was pretty surprised by how much everyone liked it. There is so much praise for the narration that I had to see what everyone was talking about.

I have to say, I wasn't prepared..
It's so much better than I was expecting.
I've been through every Kresley Cole and Gena Showalter type book imaginable. This one though, wow!
Usually the man has to be supernatural or non human for the sex scenes to be that steamy.
The story was great too, I started this morning and I couldn't stop until it was done.
Can't wait t start the next one!

I almost skipped this audio book because I was so disappointed with the male narrator in the last one.
I was so relieved when I saw that Robert Petkoff was reading this one. He did a great job. I hope he continues voicing this series.

Where to start..
I love me some Gena Showalter! I liked the idea and the story.
But.. I wish I would have just read it myself.
I've never been so surprised by a choice in narrator like I was on this book.
These are tough, God like men. Well, they should have been.
What they were was whiny, whimpering, oddly roaring, squeaky sounding and unsexy.
I'm sure Leo Barnabas is a great guy and he'd probably kick ass on some other genre. This just isn't the one for him. I found myself laughing and cringing through the whole thing.
I wonder if the authors bother to listen to the audio book before it's released. I'm guessing that they don't get a choice.
She works way too hard to build these worlds for us to just throw it all away on a bad choice. I don't get it.

Worth the read!

I listened to all three of the books in this trilogy one after the other for the past three days.
I was so entranced by this series.
Julia Whelan was the perfect narrator, she didn't miss a beat with all of the many people and their accents.
I loved all three of these books and I wish there would have been another one. Alas, I think I'll go find another one of Nora's worlds to fall into.
