Historia
From the moment Lucy met her husband's mother, Diana, she was kept at arm's length. Diana was exquisitely polite and properly friendly, but Lucy knew she was not what Diana envisioned. That was five years ago. Now, Diana is dead, a suicide note found near her body. Diana claims she no longer wanted to live because of a battle with cancer. But the autopsy finds no cancer. The autopsy does find traces of poison and evidence of suffocation.

A book of insight….
Revisado: 01-25-23
Well written, with thoughtful insight behind the reason for decisions of all family members connected to the Mother-In -Law. I felt like I had a secret passage to their brain. This book gave me a better understanding of my own MIL, and why she did things that irritated me. A worthwhile read.

Understanding “ Sensory Processing Disability”
Revisado: 01-15-23
What a wonderfully written story about twin girls; from their childhood to young adults. One sister has a sensory processing disability and this book was loaded with information that provided the reader with a better understanding of this challenge. The story, filled with literary surprises for the reader, caused me to find this book hard to put down. It was so interesting!

73 and learned so much!
Revisado: 01-02-23
Such valuable information. Wish my husband and I had read this book 45 years ago. The gentle explaining of the wedding night. As both virgins, we had no clue what we were doing in bed. We fumbled along and developed a rewarding sex life out of love for each other. We didn’t bring God into His plan in our bed. Then I had a stroke this year and this book brought no desire for sex into a deeper meaning in our sexual relationship. Very well written message.

Great story. Kept my interest from start to finish. Enough suspense with unpredictable situations. Good Godly wisdom to remember.

Historia

But by night, Jo moonlights as the pseudonymous author of a newspaper advice column for the genteel Southern lady, "Dear Miss Sweetie". When her column becomes wildly popular, she uses the power of the pen to address some of society's ills, but she's not prepared for the backlash that follows when her column challenges fixed ideas about race and gender.

Exceptionally written!
Revisado: 02-28-20
This is a book I couldn’t put down. So many emotions stirred in me. Having a Korean adopted daughter, myself, it made the cultural issues heartbreaking. Yet, because of the perseverance and personality of Jo in the story, each victory she had you wanted to jump up and celebrate with her. There were surprises and twists in the storyline along the way; making for a most interesting read!

If only I was this strong
Revisado: 10-18-19
This is the most amazing true story about a young Muslim girl and her tremendously hard journey of leaving her Muslim faith, culture, family, for Christianity. Just when you think you know the whole story, there are twists and turns in her young life that surprise you throughout the book. Other than a Muslim male, her story should be told to everyone else. My husband and I couldn’t put it down! We are buying copies to give to preteen on up family members. Her story should be heard!

Everything for a Reader’s Interest
Revisado: 08-16-19
So interesting to see WWII through the eyes of a German Midwife. We all know the horrible details of concentration camps, but this story has a different perspective. I couldn’t put it down, and now that I am done, I can’t stop thinking about the story. Extremely well written!
