I think if I just have the book in hand, I might have given the story more stars for the writing, but the style of narration is just not it for me, so focusing on the story was rough! I got through the book, but by sheer stubborn force alone...

even if you don't feel the need for guidance in setting boundaries for yourself, this book offers information that helps you to understand those around you who are unable to set boundaries, who are only just beginning to set them, and the various types of styles of boundary setting. I have a clearer understanding of the people in my life in various different levels simply from the first read through- totally worth the buy! will certainly be rereading this.

So much in here was relatable, and much more was informative! I think many people would benefit from this read. personally, i think I'll have to read it. again and again just to keep the knowledge fresh in my mind and in practice.

also, Performance was great with smooth transitions and great story telling in the moments of recounted conversations.

Content is relatable to most people and their mindsets in various situations. Narration was wonderful and well paced. I'm glad the author did it herself rather than have someone else try to match the tone of her writing.
The story/examples given really helped to get the different points across, as well as intended perspective.

this book answered a lot of personal detailed questions for me, some I didn't even realize i had to begin with. the way it's produced makes it feel somewhere between an interview and an active conversation with the listener. really took me in!

i feel everyone should read/listen to this. you don't have to have a harsh background to gain important knowledge and insight from this book

i am loving all the twists and turns! the narrator has acceptable range for her voice, but even if she didn't, the story is captivating enough that you will be immersed. personally, I'm on the edge of me seat :D

the story was interesting, though the main character is kind if annoying at times. I feel like the writing and word choice should be more expanded for the type of time period and world this is set in, but it's not bad as it is. As it is an audio book, the transitions to other people's perspectives are not always clear or adamant. I'm glad there hasn't been any important dream sequence, or it would only get really confusing! other than those bits it was a great story, and I am interested to know the rest.
