Historia
Who else wants their dream book written today? If you can speak out loud, then you have what it takes to become a lightning-fast, best-selling author. Most people dream of writing a book, but those manuscripts end up shoved away in dusty drawers, half-finished and abandoned to be eaten by moths. Many of them are great writers, many of them have great ideas. Yet so many people come to the conclusion that they'll never finish their books.

Nailed the Topic
Revisado: 12-20-23
Not only did he nail the topic, but he also made it sound accessible to even the part-time writer. It's always hard to find those moments where you can write with fluidity without being interrupted, but with his system I believe it doable. I am going to recommend this to a fellow screen reader that is just dipping her toes into novel writing. Using his system, I am dictating this from my phone while I drive. I will not hit submit until I stop and edit.

The only 5 Stars are for Glenn Beck, not this blog
Revisado: 04-08-22
Their stars would be much lower, but a few thought it was a book (fantastic fact based) that they meant to go to.
I tried. I really did. I listened to a few, and... wow. They have opinions. They lack data and facts to back up what I listened to.
I will not have it on my list, nor listen to another sound. That gives them money, and supports Amazon guiding us to this, and not what we are actually searching for.

Historia
Evan Michaels struggles with being different, with having the complete memories of two other people who lived sequentially before him. He fights loneliness and believes he is unique until he meets Poppy. She recognizes his struggle because she is like him, except that she is much older, remembering seven consecutive lives. But there is something else she must share with Evan - she is a member of the secretive Cognomina. They are, in effect, immortals - compiling experiences and skills over lifetimes into near superhuman abilities that they have used to drive history over centuries.

Fantastic throughout.
Revisado: 02-15-22
first, I thought the book begin slowly. but then I realized is exactly how it was supposed to be. looking for that action movie, this is not that. for a really good story about reincarnationists, or suspect that you might be one, you might want to take a listen. listen. if you've ever felt like you knew somebody, or suddenly new facts that you didn't already or should have never known, or if suddenly you have a skill set that is unexplainable, you might be a reincarnationist and should take a listen.

Historia
Here, in his own words, is the true story of America's wildest flying hero, of his extraordinary heroism, and of his greatest battle of all-the fight to survive. The World War II air war in the Pacific needed tough men like Colonel Pappy Boyington and his Black Sheep Squadron. The legendary Marine Corps officer and his bunch of misfits, outcasts, and daredevils gave a new definition to "hell-raising" - on the ground and in the skies.

Pappy Boyington is one of those iconic heroes that tells the truth. great story. Leaves a lot out, but gives you a good idea of each leg of his journey.

Historia
It’s been 20 years since 9/11, two decades since the United States was attacked on home soil and set out to make the guilty pay with their lives. In the shadows, the enemy has been patient - learning, and adapting. And the enemy is ready to strike again. A new president offers hope to a country weary of conflict. He’s a young, popular, self-made visionary…but he’s also a man with a secret.

Just enough reality...
Revisado: 04-30-21
Jack's stories are just real enough to scare the hell out of you. Being ex 82nd, and growing up as a Navy Bratt, I've had dinners at the O'Club with individuals chatting about things that would terrify the average people.
His info is so spot on, and accurate... I want to go out and purchase each weapon described. Just to brush up.
My only complaint is that there aren't already 20 books.

spooky!
Revisado: 03-12-21
this book was written in the '90s. it feels like it is a book written from historical stuff not from the viewpoint of somebody 30ish years ago.
I know I am going to do all I can to prepare, but it's probably too late!

Historia
With seven unpublished novels wasting away on his hard drive, Tony Vanderwarker is astonished when John Grisham offers to take him under his wing and teach him the secrets of thriller writing. The beginning and the end are easy,” Grisham tells him. It’s the three hundred pages in the middle that’s the hard part.” To ensure his plot doesn’t run out of gas, Grisham puts Tony though his outline process. Tony does one, and then Grisham asks for another and another and another.

Interesting to see behind the veil

I really enjoyed seeing how much work goes into writing at a top tier level, and how at the end you ignored it all and did it your own way without outlines...

This is no Ready Player One, but...
Revisado: 12-18-20
this book starts out with promise. I am that guy that gives every book a fighting chance before making a decision. I did enjoy it, but it was pretty much a rehash of what ready player one was about with a few twists. The twists, although interesting took the story in a completely random direction. I didn't see a whole lot of reason for some of the actions of some of the characters. they didn't have the correct motivation in order to do what they did in the story in my humble opinion.
but that said, it was a really enjoyable book. it definitely sets itself up to be a series of many many many books in the future.
I kind of equated to how a sequel to ender's game was completely and totally different. Even though it added some clarity to why things occurred. although it wasn't as different, because 80% of the book was just a new quest and new things that weren't really new.
