Historia
Sage and her sister won’t make it home from school today. Neither will the other children on Bus 315. But that’s only the beginning of the nightmare. New bus driver Jessa blames herself for what happened. She couldn’t protect the kids she was supposed to deliver to daycare, just like she couldn’t protect her own daughter three years ago. But this time, everything will be different. It has to be.

This story was fast paced and griping. The narration was superb. If you're looking for an easy to follow story you can't put down, this is it.

Historia
On the surface, Denny Voss’s life in rural Minnesota is a quiet one. At thirty years old, he lives at home with his elderly mother and his beloved blind and deaf Saint Bernard, George. He cleans up roadkill to help pay the bills. Though his prospects are limited by a developmental delay—the result of an accident at birth—Denny has always felt that he has “a good life.” So how did he wind up being charged with the murder of a mayoral candidate—after crashing a sled full of guns into a tree?

Such a beautiful and real story
Revisado: 05-01-25
This book was perfect in every way. I rarely give 5 star reviews but this wonderful book deserves each and every one of them. Denny's story made me laugh and cry. Do yourself a huge favor and give this one a listen. The narrator did an amazing job of capturing Denny Voss.

Historia
In this astonishing debut, the venerable but gossipy New York literary scene is twisted into a claustrophobic fun house of paranoia, horror, and wickedly dark humor. George March’s latest novel is a smash. No one is prouder than Mrs. March, his doting wife. But one morning, the shopkeeper of her favorite patisserie suggests that his protagonist is based on Mrs. March herself. Clutching her ostrich-leather pocketbook, she flees, that one casual remark destroying her belief that she knew everything about her husband - as well as herself.

Alice Feeney had done it again!
Revisado: 01-26-25
I love this book so much. Daisy Darker has been my favorite Alice Feeney book but this may take it's place. This is dark and moody with twist I did not see coming. The narration and performance was perfect. Five stars all the way and I don't give many 5 star ratings.

Terrible narration & basic storyline
Revisado: 01-09-25
Original review: I liked nothing about this book. It was juvenile and poorly written. It also has one of the worst narrations ever. Use your credits elsewhere.
Edit: I feel it isn't fair to leave a bad review without being constructive. I feel the author puts the cart before the horse here. In the first few chapters we learn who's doing the killing and why they are doing it. The premise is a good one, however, I need a reason to keep reading. When I learn the who and why up front I lose interest. I guess since I actually finished it, it's not all bad. I really hated the narration and that may have skewed my view of the actual story.

If there were more than 5 stars for performance this one would deserve it. The story was very good. It was creepier than actually scary but it was definitely creepy.

Wow! What a great book!
Revisado: 10-27-24
I finished this in a day. This book is well written and beautifully narrated. I almost never give 5 stars and especially not in all categories but I'd give this one more than five if I had the option.
The author handles the more sensitive parts of the book well and there is no gratuitous violence, only what was necessary to tell the story.

Historia
Nora Noone’s father was many things to many people. To the public he was a self-made titan of industry, whose luxury boutique hotels were among the most coveted destinations in the world. To his three ex-wives, he was a loving yet distant family man who managed to keep his finances—and his families—separate. But, to Nora, he was always a mystery—especially after his suspicious death at his cliffside home.

Historia
Fresh out of rehab, Mallory Quinn takes a job as a babysitter for Ted and Caroline Maxwell. She is to look after their five-year-old son, Teddy. Mallory immediately loves it. She has her own living space, goes out for nightly runs, and has the stability she craves. And she sincerely bonds with Teddy, a sweet, shy boy who is never without his sketchbook and pencil. His drawings are the usual fare: trees, rabbits, balloons. But one day, he draws something different: a man in a forest, dragging a woman’s lifeless body.
