I spent 60 years of my life being abused, bullied and manipulated. First by my family of origin, then by my husband, and he taught my children to treat me the same way. I was naïve and trusting and projected my conscience onto them. It is very validating to understand the BMN and to know that it wasn’t my fault. It is painful and no way to live. BMNs are so deceptive and toxic. The public and especially the courts need to be educated on their BS and call it out for what it is. The victim should not be blamed and BMN needs to be called out for their despicable behavior.

Dr. Ramani is educating people on narcissistic abuse. It is so important that people understand narcissism to be able to protect themselves from toxic people and their despicable behavior.

Nedra described my dysfunctional family perfectly. My boundaries were never respected from childhood or my marriage and that is how my ex taught our children to treat me. I need to work on setting boundaries and she gave me some great ideas on how to do so. I am going to look for the book that she wrote before this that talks about boundaries. I need peace and I’m tired of the drama even if it means removing myself from family members. It is painful, but it’s better than living a lie.

If you haven’t been in a narcissistic relationship, you won’t understand, but if you have, this is one of the best descriptions I’ve ever read. It’s so painful when your own family turns their back on you because of his lies then he tells people you are the crazy one. That’s how they silence you. It’s hard to fight someone without a conscience who enjoys hurting you.
