Would you listen to A Street Cat Named Bob again? Why?

I *hope* to listen to it again sometime. Bob is an awesome cat and I really liked James, too. It was a very engaging audiobook, for me.

What does Kristopher Milnes bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

The narration was great; very believable, as if the author himself was the one telling the story...

Any additional comments?

It has been several weeks since I listened to this book, and I still find myself thinking about it. As a cat lover, I was interested in Bob from first mention of him, and it didn't take long to see that Bob is one very special cat. I also liked James quite a lot. The bond between James and Bob is wonderful and amazing.

If you could sum up Scent of the Missing in three words, what would they be?

appealing, informative, interesting

What was one of the most memorable moments of Scent of the Missing?

My favorite parts were probably hearing about all of Susannah's dogs and cats at home.

Hearing about the playhouse was a standout moment for me, and I wished I could see pictures...

What about Susannah Charleson’s performance did you like?

I love when authors read their own stories... It makes it more personal and Susannah did a fine job on this audiobook. I really liked her.

Any additional comments?

There were a lot of different elements to this story; I was pretty much fascinated from the get-go. I can't think of a moment that I wasn't involved and enjoying the listen. Really appreciate the volunteers who give so much of their time and energy for others.

If you could sum up To Win Her Heart in three words, what would they be?

sweet, strong, tender

Who was your favorite character and why?

Levi was my favorite character, but I liked Eden an awful lot, too... and I liked the two of them together...

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I *really* didn't like the fight scene towards the end of the book... I mean, I *really* didn't like it. It felt like a "no win" situation, and I feel a lot of tension, even now, just thinking about it. (I do believe in self defense, and it made me crazy that he wouldn't fight, but at the same time, it probably would've gotten him killed if he had raised his fists... Still, how can I respect a man who wouldn't fight for his life? Would he fight for me?)... Since I enjoyed the rest of the story so much, I choose to pretend this fight scene either didn't happen, or didn't go down the way it was written...

Would you listen to Christmas on Mimosa Lane again? Why?

Absolutely, most definitely, I will listen to this story again. I enjoyed every second of it. I *LOVED* the story and the narration was *perfect* in my opinion...

What was one of the most memorable moments of Christmas on Mimosa Lane?

The entire book was one memorable moment after another for me.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Yes. This is a real "triumph over tragedy" story and is very tender and touching. I was both happy and sad to the point of tears at times... I felt strongly for the characters, especially Mallory, Pete and Polly...

Any additional comments?

I had a few questions when the story ended, so I hope this was the beginning of a series. The last half hour was probably the saddest part of the book for me; Mallory was always so perfectly *there* for everyone else, it was sad, but believable, how hard she was on herself when her moment of crisis came. The story did end on a promising note, but I would have preferred a "stronger, no doubt about it", ending...

What did you love best about The Last Chinese Chef?

I enjoyed the developing friendship between Sam and Maggie. Sam was my favorite character.

What about Elisabeth Rodgers and James Chen ’s performance did you like?

I felt Elisabeth Rodgers was by turns, superb/outstanding/exceptionally good, but also fell into a cadence at times that irritated me... Still, I had to give the narration 5 stars because I enjoyed her reading more than most audiobooks I've listened to. James Chen was incredible...

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I was pretty touched throughout the story actually... I particularly enjoyed the last half hour of the book.

Any additional comments?

I'm glad I picked this one up... I want to listen to it again...
