Not my first end of the world series. Before this, I read The trackers, Alex Fletcher, American exit strategy- this one was my least liked. It was refreshing change of plot, but it was a scantily thin on plot development and situations were a little bit mundane. at every corner you just waited for something to happen and it never took the turn. this was like the babysitters club of end of the world series books. if you like a happy-go-lucky, we have the world to ourselves kind of book, maybe a sort of utopia?, this might be your cup of tea. really thought the author could have made this more interesting.

Waaay more than I expected!

The title doesn't do this justice, and was why I brushed it off at first. But, curiosity got to me, and, WOW. Reminds me of Wet Hot American Summer type of campy good fun, but with lots of Foreigner!

I thought the story was pretty good. It had a lot of insight and predictions for the future, which could be happening right now. Too much scripture, and the distain for Obama showcase the era of this book's creation. Useful knowledge for the casual doomsdayer, ear candy for full-out militia wannabes.

I changed my review, added a star. After giving it a little more time, it's pretty good, but the rest of my review holds. The lady narrator that chimes in pretentiously "You should have said" makes me want to rip my earbuds out. I feel like she's from some educational video game, or Dora the Explorer. Very repetitive to the point of boredom. A little corny at times, almost comical in the way Mark pronounces some English. A little editing of the encouragement phrases and this book could be half the length.

Some of the audio has an echo or is of lower quality than most of the audio books I own. Some translations seem to be a little off. Maybe it's a good test of my comprehension, at least I can grasp the difference between pimsleur lessons and this. I'm sure that different regions speak differently.

I always wanted to learn another language, and Spanish seems like the most practical. I finished all 5 levels in less than a year. I did it for fun, and always while doing my regular day job. I studied about 1 hour a day, sometimes more. My method was to repeat the previous lesson, then do a new one (1hr) each day (no weekends). I'm currently working through level 5 again to really cement my education. Pimsleur is a great start! Next is conversational Spanish books and Duolingo (free) is a great tool for learning the written language. Buena Suerte!
