Historia
William Waters grew up in a house silenced by tragedy, where his parents could hardly bear to look at him, much less love him—so when he meets the spirited and ambitious Julia Padavano in his freshman year of college, it’s as if the world has lit up around him. With Julia comes her family, as she and her three sisters are inseparable: Sylvie, the family’s dreamer, is happiest with her nose in a book; Cecelia is a free-spirited artist; and Emeline patiently takes care of them all.

Narrator was not good

While I liked the story, I did not like the narrator. She had a monotone and lacked enthusiasm.

Historia
After the teenage daughter of a prominent Minnesota politician goes missing, a huge manhunt is launched to find her. But when Cork O’Connor’s grandson Waaboo stumbles across the shallow grave of a young Ojibwe woman while hunting blueberries, nobody seems to care. Nobody, that is, except Cork and the newly formed Iron Lake Ojibwe Tribal Police Department. As Cork and the tribal officers dig into the circumstances of her murder, they discover a link to the missing girl that suggests these are not isolated incidents, but evidence of something much more sinister.

A well told memoir
Revisado: 01-19-25
Steve Hoffman relates a well written memoir of his time in France with his family. I love his portrayal of the French people who are his neighbors and coworkers as well as how his family learned and changed from their experiences in France.

Not as good as other Nancy Naigle Christmas books.
Revisado: 12-16-24
I loved the earlier Nancy Naigle Christmas books. This book was really disappointing. The plot was all over the place. There were way too many characters. There were many pages that felt like I was reading Pinterest with descriptions of ornaments furniture rooms to great detail. This was boring to me.The relationship between Sheila and Tucker was forced and.lacked chemistry. Usually Nancy Naigle focuses on relationships. I loved her dialogue and tender, caring between characters. This time the focus on the romantic relationship. didn’t come until the end of the book. The narrator made the character sound like teenagers. Save your money and find a different Nancy Naigle Christmas book to enjoy.

Not as good as the Evergreen Series
Revisado: 11-22-22
I like Nancy Naigle’s sweet small town stories. In this book, the characters were not as interesting and funny as her other books. The plot centered too much around the details about the house and not around the characters and their relationships.

Terrible Narration
Revisado: 11-10-20
I listened all the way through because I usually like Catherine Anderson's books. This story wasn't her best but it somewhat held my interest. I have over 400 books in my audible library and this was the WORST narrator I have ever heard. She was so overly dramatic that every paragraph just dripped with drama. I had to grit my teeth to just get through the whole book. When I saw that Catherine Anderson's newest book was also narrated by the same person, I decided to skip buying that book. I usually like the narrators of her books, but as long as this is her narrator, I will not be buying her books. Please change narrators.

Historia
It's been over a decade since Nora left her hometown of Scupper Island, Maine, and very seldom looked back. She's carved out a successful life in Boston, where no one knows her as the awkward girl with the delinquent sister and the dad who left, but a not-as-dramatic-as-it-sounds brush with death has her taking stock of her life. Inspired to reconnect with her prickly mother and snarky teenage niece, Nora returns home for the summer, where she's forced to face the people she's spent the last ten years trying to avoid.
