More like a quick campfire story.
Revisado: 03-14-25
I actually had to slow the speed down on my story, just to feel like we weren't flying through it. Didn't help. I feel like this story could have been better, if we had gotten more time to get to know the characters, that way we can genuinely empathize and feel with them. It was an okay story, but I wouldn't recommend this to my friends.

Pretty good read!
Revisado: 12-20-24
This book seemed predictable in some places, and then would shift you around a swift turn and take an unexpected direction. The Supernatural elements are fun, the body horror is tastefully described, and the overall message is heart felt. At times (snd this may be due to the age of the protagonists in the story) I felt like I was reading a YA book, as some of the phrasing was immature, but the story overall kept my interest. I would definitely suggest this for anyone who likes a "girl who cried wolf" kind of horror story.

A bit of an immature writing style for my taste
Revisado: 07-05-24
The story drags on, the writing style is a bit immature, with unnecessary metaphors and oddly unnecessary descriptions of the female character and placing her in suggestive ways, yet being vague on descriptors with other characters. Just reads like a male college student wrote this.

Historia
Photographer Isla Wilson is thrilled she's landed her dream job, but the clients who hired her are getting stranger by the day. It sounded so perfect—a month's assignment at the lush Scottish Highlands property of architect Alban McGregor, and his wife, Jessica. But in the woods, there's a playhouse with a chilling history. Two years ago, the McGregors' daughter Elodie was abducted and then died in that playhouse. The townspeople insist her abductor had to be a stranger in their town. Alban refuses to knock the playhouse down, even keeping a picture of it on his wall.

Historia
Adam Turner works the mid-dawn shift at his local radio station. From 12am to 6am, it’s his job to fill the airtime with old songs, inane chatter, and the occasional talkback caller. It’s a long way from his prime-time slot from over a decade ago, when he was a star in the making. Now there’s no producers, no billboards, no stakes, and not many listeners. His frequent callers are drunk students headed home from a night out, or long-range truck drivers. He is completely alone in the studio from midnight until dawn every night. And then one night at 12:45am, he gets a different kind of call.

Like the movie "Phone Booth" but with an interesting twist
Revisado: 11-26-23
Could this have had better dialog, sure. But were the twists and turns worth the listen? Yes. I would certainly recommend this to an action or action/thriller reader.
