author has strong leftist views, yet it rarely makes overall narrative unacceptable. I still learned some interstellar stuff from the book because author knows her subject very well.
yet I'd like to have more scientific research on the subject

author puts too much faith into a small bunch of sources, which have questionable authenticity and are very biases. because of that the work.is at times dull. though still a worthy read for all antiquity buffs

it's more of a memoir than an autobiography, but still it contains loads of interesting information on influences and inspirations for most of Herbert's work, DUNE and most other books

it was a good book though it would benefit from having drawings shown to readers cause these exact drawings are discussed at length. the author's analytical skills however are great. looming forward to her new books

mediocre story, fantastic performance and directing

the plot is very straightforward and underdeveloped (some details like loony Howard Hughes flying protagonist to assignment are at best poorly written). however fabulous casting and directing makes this audio play worth listening to all fans of noir

has a great feel of Michael Mann's best works

fantastic book. though fiction, it has an uncanny authentic feel to most of characters, plot details and descriptions that come from Bunker's rich history of crime.
the first half is mostly drama about a criminal trying and failing to avoid life of crime being on the parole- feels a lot like "Jericho mile" movie. the second half is much like "Thief" and "Heat" movies by Michael Mann with heists and scores (including meticulous planning) and splits.
