Historia
Maud is an irascible 88-year-old Swedish woman with no family, no friends, and...no qualms about a little murder. Ever since her darling father's untimely death when she was only 18, Maud has lived in the family's spacious apartment in downtown Gothenburg rent-free, thanks to a minor clause in a hastily negotiated contract. That was how Maud learned that good things can come from tragedy. Now in her late 80s, Maud contents herself with traveling the world and surfing the net from the comfort of her father's ancient armchair. It's a solitary existence, and she likes it that way.

Who Knew?
Revisado: 04-12-25
Who knew little old ladies could cause such mayhem quietly murdering all those who upset them. Sounds like a very fulfilling and time consuming hobby.

Nice Little Story
Revisado: 12-07-24
Nice voiced narrator makes this a respite from everyday life. Interesting scientific info, not sure police would focus on one suspect without more evidence, and a too quick solution to several murders.

Historia
A seemingly straightforward private case turns out to be much more complicated - and sinister - than Special Agent A. X. L. Pendergast ever could have anticipated. Pendergast, together with his ward, Constance Greene, travels to the quaint seaside village of Exmouth, Massachusetts, to investigate the theft of a priceless wine collection. But inside the wine cellar, they find something considerably more disturbing: a bricked-up niche that once held a crumbling skeleton.

New Twist on old Tales
Revisado: 09-24-24
Great narration! That said, It’s so stressful that stupid people weird so much power. The only good thing about that is that they usually get served with justice whether by Pendergast or monster of the moment.
Almost missed the romance//snuck up and then was gone probably got revert. Did feel a bit sorry for the “villain”. And since it’s always possible to resurrect the dead, not really surprised by the ending.

Blood and Guts Too Much!
Revisado: 09-10-24
Try eating lunch and listening to this autopsy scene—even worse because it’s a main character! Okay story but the descriptions of “monster” is too graphic! Also, Pendergast plays a subordinate role to D’Gasta and the story drags on and on and on! Sheesh!

Historia
In 2008, nine mountaineers failed to return from a winter backpacking trip in the New Mexico mountains. At their final campsite, searchers found a bizarre scene: something had appeared at the door of their tent so terrifying that it impelled them to slash their way out and flee barefoot to certain death in a blizzard. Despite a diligent search, only six bodies were found, two violently crushed and inexplicably missing their eyes. The case, given the code name “Dead Mountain” by the FBI, was never solved. Now, two more bodies from the lost expedition are unexpectedly discovered in a cave.
