Historia
In Eyes of Prey, Bekker, an insane pathologist who experiments with his patients’ pain thresholds, is finally brought down by an unrelenting Lucas Davenport, who brutally maims the doctor’s beautiful face but leaves him alive. “You should have killed me,” were Bekker’s parting and prophetic words.
In this sequel to Eyes of Prey, Bekker endures the indignities and horrors of imprisonment, taking comfort in the fact that it is only a matter of time before he will make Lucas Davenport pay.

Come on, are cops this bad?
Revisado: 03-29-25
I tried to like this series, but the guy just writes cops as dumb and criminals as mastermind serial killers. Well, that is except for the corruption cops and for the main character. Who is a corrupt, smart, rich, ladies man criminal.

Historia
The most popular and beloved American historical novel ever written, Margaret Mitchell's Gone with the Wind is unparalleled in its portrayal of men and women at once larger than life but as real as ourselves. Now best-selling writer Alexandra Ripley brings us back to Tara and reintroduces us to the characters we remember so well: Rhett, Ashley, Mammy, Suellen, Aunt Pittypat, and, of course, Scarlett.

It was just a random mutation - one of a billion that happen in viruses every day. But this one was different. It exploded out of Somalia and spread across the oceans before anybody thought to look up from their cell phones to see what was going on. The infected breathed the virus into the air around them, spreading it through the cities faster than anyone thought possible. Hospitals were overwhelmed. Police lines crumbled. Quarantine sites disintegrated. Cities started to collapse.

Good value for credit to hours, but....
Revisado: 12-05-24
the author has a way of killing off nearly all NPCs. Personally, I consider it to be lazy writing to kill off people who maybe inconvenient to how the story can move forward. The author has turned this into a formala in this series. It becomes pretty clear that when you meet someone new and either character likes them, they are gonna die.

Once every year, in the city of Sunja, gladiators Baylus, Goll, and Halm meet in the arena known as Sunja’s Pit. Their battles are epic, but deadlier still are the shadowy forces that conspire against them outside the Pit. Only by applying their brutally honed survival instincts can these brave warriors hope to win their freedom and exact grisly revenge upon their enemies.

Started off ok
Revisado: 11-28-24
while the story started off OK, it went nowhere fast. It deemed just wander around aimlessly while very, very slowly advancing a vague notion of a plot. I r3lly liked Blacmoore's early writing, but lately it seems like he is just trying to focus on vume over quality. I even wonder if he uses ghost writers.

Strong tart, but boy, oh boy, it gets straight ff the rails.
Revisado: 09-29-24
Te story starts out solid, but I think the author may have started doing drugs in the middle of it.
It is bad enough that e premise is pretty weak, a tear in the sky causing mayhem, but then it just goes I to lame on steroids.
It is worth the credit due to how long it is, just don't hope for a cohesive storyline.
One exampke that just annoyed me to no end is when someone gets Stabbed. feels the knife peneterate their body, feels pain in gut, etc. Then it didn't happen, the knife was clean. Totally just to mess with reader.

Narrator does well, but story, not so much
Revisado: 09-27-24
The story is pretty repetitive and characters really lack depth or dimension. The author seems to be fixated on God's, but doesn't seem to understand what an immortal, all-powerful being is about.
P.S. Space dragons are dumb.
