Historia
Another witness had come forward, saying they were sure they had seen someone of Tom’s description near one of the old mine pit lakes. It was going on two years now since his disappearance, but of course, anything was possible. After all, while the clues had gone cold and witness memories faded, there was one thing that doesn’t die away, the scent of death. And that is where the dogs come in.

Historia
In retreat from a devastating loss and crushing injustice, Katie lives alone in a fortresslike stone house on Jacob’s Ladder island. Once a rising star in the art world, she finds refuge in her painting. The neighboring island of Ringrock houses a secret: a government research facility. And now two agents have arrived on Jacob’s Ladder in search of someone—or something—they refuse to identify. Although an air of menace hangs over these men, an infinitely greater threat has arrived, one so strange even the island animals are in a state of high alarm.

INCREDIBLE writing, throughly entertaining.
Revisado: 08-21-23
I could have listened to this story for hours on end, oh I did about 3 hours a day on my commute! I couldn’t wait to get back to the story. Great characters, great imagination and scary and suspenseful enough to keep you intertwined with the characters. Wish all books were this entertaining.

I LOVED this audiobook.
Revisado: 03-08-20
Exciting from the first paragraph. Interest and story never lagged. The writer writes in word pictures. Ofcourse the dog is wonderful and adds another element of interest.
I learned a lot from this book.

When teenage sisters go missing in the mysterious "Bennington Triangle" of Vermont, an area renowned for its disappearances and strange occurrences over the past 100 years, FBI agent Jack Juarez brings K-9 handler Jamie Flint and her dog Phantom in to assist with the search. When Jack realizes the case shares haunting similarities with the murders of the missing girls' aunts 10 years before, it becomes clear that he and Jamie are dealing with much more than two girls who simply wandered off the beaten path.

This is a great read. Suspenseful, intricate writing, and just enough characters to keep the plot moving. You can tell this writer has put in her research on Search and Rescue dogs. She just tells a good story. Bravo!
