Historia
From New York Times best-selling author Stephen Graham Jones comes a novel that is equal parts psychological horror and cutting social commentary on identity politics and the American-Indian experience. Fans of Jordan Peele and Tommy Orange will love this story as it follows the lives of four American-Indian men and their families, all haunted by a disturbing, deadly event that took place in their youth. Years later, they find themselves tracked by an entity bent on revenge, totally helpless as the culture and traditions they left behind catch up to them in a vengeful way.

calming narration

I didn't read a preface of the book and it's important to understand the basic premise before listening. once that was achieved, following the plot was pleasant.

Historia
Veteran investigative journalist Stevie Cameron first began following the story of missing women in 1998, when the odd newspaper piece appeared chronicling the disappearances of drug-addicted sex trade workers from Vancouver's notorious Downtown Eastside. It was not until February 2002 that pig farmer Robert William Pickton would be arrested and until 2008 before he was found guilty on six counts of second-degree murder. These counts were appealed, and in 2010, the Supreme Court of Canada rendered its conclusion.

Detailed but too much
Revisado: 06-23-21
This story dives deep in to the crimes. However, it may be too deep. At times sort of drones on. Sometimes I forget what I am listening too. The narrator has a pleasant voice but her delivery of the story in certain areas lack something. At times it feels as though she is reading the book to you, not narrating it. Sometimes there needs to be a crescendo or arch of the story but she leaves it as just words on paper.
