Fantasy at its finest
Revisado: 04-12-25
Michael J. Sullivan and Tim Gerard Reynolds are an incomparable pair don’t miss reading any of the books written and narrated by this pair, I have not. each and every one has been an exciting read, but it’s been a long while since Royce and Hadrian have made an appearance and I have sorely missed them. They were as entertaining and lively as ever and my time spent with them was over too soon. I sincerely hope you take the time to enjoy this book.

Historia
When Inspector Ben Ross is called to Newgate Prison by a man condemned to die by the hangman's noose, he isn't expecting to give any credence to the man's testimony. But the account of a murder he witnessed over 17 years ago is so utterly believable that Ben can't help wondering if what he's heard is true. It's too late to save the man's life, but it's not too late to investigate a murder that has gone undetected for all these years.

Great read
Revisado: 03-19-25
I so enjoyed listening to this book. Just like Agatha Christie there’s no abusive language or sex in the book. It’s becoming harder and harder to find these books. I feel the time is growing nearcwhre my only choice will be to re-read books I’ve already finished. This won’t hapoen until Ive finish this series though lol. The characters are well developed and I did enjoy the use of male and female narrators, it reslky works in this book and they are both terrific.

Three in
Revisado: 03-03-25
I’m three in on this series and I am thoroughly enjoying it. Thus far there’s no sex and minimal cursing so the story is just about investigating a crime. I plan to finish the entire series if it continues in this vein. It’s that good.

Historia
Family is everything to Siobhán: her five siblings; her dear departed mother for whom the family business, Naomi’s Bistro, is named; and now her fiancé, Macdara Flannery. So precious is her engagement that Siobhán wants to keep it just between the two of them for a little longer. But Macdara is her family, which is why when his cousin Jane frantically calls for his help, Siobhán rushes with him from Kilbane to the rural village where Jane and her mother have recently moved. In a cottage, Ellen Delaney lies on her bed in a fancy red dress, no longer breathing.

Good story but…
Revisado: 01-23-24
This is a fantasy tale about two brothers, young boys, the youngest being a ten year old and a neighbor, a friend of the youngest boy a little girl. It has a great beginning and I was thoroughly involved when low and behold the ten year old starts having um…feelings for the girl. I mean really what has happened to fantasy? While this isn’t graphic he is a ten year old and this is supposed to be a fantasy tale not a romance? I don’t know how Robert Jordan managed to write 14 huge books w/o sexual content and todays writers can’t write one. I finished the other two free books and yep the sexual innuendos continue throughout, so i won’t be investing any money to continue the series as the kids are maturing and so might be the sexual content. I read fantasy not romance novels.

But the truth is soon uncovered: Léon is a girl named Léonie and is actually the legitimate child of the Comte and his wife. While Avon is intent on his plan to reveal the Comte’s duplicity and ruin him, he is charmed by Léonie’s kindness, falls in love, and becomes a changed man.

As good as it was in my teens
Revisado: 11-27-23
I read this when just a teenager many years ago. I stumbled upon it here at audible and not remembering the book but the author decided to read again.
The narrator is fantastic in this instance and the experience has been a good one. So glad I bought it again.
