Good story. Narration is bad for the first 30-60min but then gets A LOT better so don’t be put off.

I’m a big Scalzi fan and read all his books. This one is unfortunately just OK. Dialog is classic Scalzi so if you like it it’s still there. The story how ever is very mediocre and not very interesting (especially after half the book).

Very slow paced. Feels like he is milking the audience on money. The books need to be 20h or more. At this current pace it will be 30 entry’s in this series.

This book is a bit like a MMO sidequest. Fun and interesting but not pushing the story forward (that much). Book 1-4 has much more happening at once. You have 4-5 storys told parallel but in this book it's focus just on one world and two ppl. It's not bad! It's not what I expected but still I had alot of fun!

Can't write female characters

What did you like best about Outcast? What did you like least?

Marvin is always fun. But B.V. Larson can't write female characters. They are constantly mopy and passive aggressive when they aren't worshiping the protagonist. He gives them no depth so they are basically nice carbordboxes with racks. This might not be an issue for you. But when you have read 10 bocks with almost no characters development you lose interest. I won't read bock 11...

No, This is more or less the bottom pile of scifi.

If you want space combat check out Ark Royal and for ground action lokk at The Empire's Corps. Both are lightyears better books.

Would you listen to The Nelson Touch again? Why?

No, But it's a awsome one time read.

What other book might you compare The Nelson Touch to and why?

It's abit like The Lost Fleet series or StarForce but alot better written.

Have you listened to any of Ralph Lister’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

First time with this narrator for me. He as a good range and makes the characters come to live.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The cliff hanger at end. GIVE ME BOOK 3 NOW! :)

Great read, Interesting concepts and fast paced. Short: Military space scifi at it's best! Check it out!
