Historia
Gold Dust Woman gives "the gold standard of rock biographers" (the Boston Globe) his ideal topic: Nicks' work and life are equally sexy and interesting, and Davis delves deeply into each, unearthing fresh details from new, intimate interviews and interpreting them to present a rich new portrait of the star. Just as Nicks (and Lindsay Buckingham) gave Fleetwood Mac the "shot of adrenaline" they needed to become real rock stars - according to Christine McVie - Gold Dust Woman is vibrant with stories and with a life lived large and hard.

Lots of great info but don't like narrator
Revisado: 05-03-23
I was supposed to go see Stevie and Billy Joel earlier this month and have been listening to all of her music as well as Fleetwood Mac's, plus reading and listening to everything I could about her and FM. The show got canceled because of illness in the band, but I have continued earning everything I can about Stevie.
there was a lot of great information in this book, some of which conflicts with things I've read elsewhere but that's to be expected. The thing that bugs me about the narrator is that she mispronounced a lot of words including some very common words. I wish I had kept a list but I didn't think it was going to be as bad as it turned out being.
The one mispronunciation that does come to mind is "Buckingham," as in Lindsey. She pronounces it "Buckingum." Not even the Brits, who pronounce "Birmingham" as "Birmingum" say it that way

Historia
Set in a sprawling Gothic mansion in a remote coastal location, somewhere in the British Isles, the elderly recluse Lord Alfred Willoughby is deciding what is to become of his vast fortune after his death. Whilst his head is telling him to leave nothing at all to his wastrel son, Matthew, his heart is speaking differently. After much deliberation, in a last-ditch attempt to try and show to his son the importance of applying himself to a task and staying with it to the end, he devises a series of enigmatic puzzles cunningly concealed within the lines of a poem - the cryptic lines.

College students Kenji and Dylan stumble upon a strange recording in the background of an obscure song. It's a woman's voice uttering a string of seemingly random characters. Upon further inspection, the song appears to have been embedded with a hidden message. Attempting to crack the mysterious code and becoming obsessed with the recording, Kenji and Dylan set off in search of answers. With every turn in the road however, the puzzle only seems to grow more complicated.

Historia
Facing tough times, private investigator Harlan Ulrich takes a job looking after a historic downtown building as a favor to an old acquaintance who's out on business. Settling into the elegant Exeter House for a week-long stay, Ulrich's apartment is beautifully furnished and situated on the top floor, giving him a great view of the city. At first, he thinks it a wonderful opportunity. He's got plenty of coffee, good books to read and the whole building to himself.

Good Story, Great Read
Revisado: 01-05-20
I have become hooked on Ambrose Ibsen's creepy scary stories. the thing that helped me in the first place was Wretchedness, I'm very good story with an awesome narrator in Jake Urry.
Darkside Blues, to me, is not quite as good a story as Wretchedness, but still a very good ghost story that was hard to hit 'Pause" on. It was made much better by narrator Urry, whose voice is perfectly suited to this sort of thing. Both story and narrator recommended highly.

Todd is just a month away from becoming a man, but in the midst of the cacophony, he knows that the town is hiding something from him - something so awful Todd is forced to flee with only his dog, whose simple, loyal voice he hears too. With hostile men from the town in pursuit, the two stumble upon a strange and eerily silent creature: a girl. Who is she?

Don't Bother
Revisado: 06-30-18
I didn't want to rate Performance or Story because I couldn't make it past the first five minutes of this book. It was filled with gratuitous foul language. I heard GD more than half a dozen times in the first five minutes.
thankfully, Audible doesn't make you keep something once you realize it's a waste of money. Traded it in for Kingdom Keepers II.
