Great narration, entertaining quick listen

A swift, well-paced story with enough twists and turns to keep you listening. The narrator was fantastic, the performance intensified the eerie suspense and emotional weight of the characters' terror, and upped the creepy factor. The character voices were a perfect fit and pulled you right into the story.

This was such a fun, smart, entertaining and addictive listen. Julia Whelan and Emily Henry are an iconic duo at this point and I always look forward to their next collaboration!

Couldn't put it down!

An addictive, quick read/listen about a highly questionable yet fascinating woman who will stop at nothing to secure her place in the world. We progressively understand more about Bea's motivations and how her upbringing shaped her into who she is today as the novel unfolds between the past and present day, which helps to connect with her, if not always sympathize. It's a romp! The narrator does a remarkable job, bringing the perfect voice to both past and present Bea. Especially enjoyed her "southern" accent for Bea and the phenomenal way she brought each of the women in this story to life. A fantastic production!

My favorite Emily Henry

I ended up accidentally reading Emily's books in reverse order of publication, and this one was by far my favorite. Love the brand of sharp humor in the dialogue, the non-conventional but extremely appealing characters, and the weaving of writers' block and the writing process in there. Spot-on narration.
