It’s no wonder you can’t calm down: your to-do list is as long as your arm, your bank balance keeps dropping, you feel guilty for not calling your parents more often and there always seems to be a big deadline to meet at work. You need a serious breather - but you can barely find time to shower, let alone to exercise or meditate.

I liked it, although it was rather slow in pace for me sometimes. Also the examples were a bit strange and I had to make an effort to emphatise having lived in a very different economic and cultural background as the authors. But by no means is this a flaw. I think this book is very useful especially if someone is on the beginning of their journey. Also it was quite well written.

This book is a blueprint for those who may not fit the image of a “traditional” runner—that is, someone who is larger in size, less athletic, out of shape, or dealing with any kind of health issue that slows them down—to feel empowered to lace up their shoes and embrace the body they have right now.

I'm new to the world of running, and I may be not as heavy as the intended audience I'm just as slow. I really liked this book and even though I read a lot about how to begin one's running journey, there was a lot of useful information in it I didn't find elsewhere. Also the author's (and narrator's) cheerful personality made it a fun experience too.

This is a very important story

I was a bit afraid to start this book because of the length, but it turned out to be such a "page-turner" that I finished it much earlier than I usually do. Actually, I really looked forward to listening to it outside my usual audio-book-friendly activities as well. This is a fascinating, very well-written story, but a difficult and heartbreaking one at the same time. I was really interested in the topic and it was like I expected it to be, but much more intensive because of the personal experiences. I really recommend it.

Not for me
Revisado: 09-30-23
I'm sorry, but this was just not right for me. I mean this book had an OK start and I liked the style too. But after a while, I had a feeling that the author was just saying elaborate, well-constructed sentences that just sounded right with no real meaning, at least for me. After the very interesting beginning, I felt that there were absolutely no conclusions I could take away from this book.

I found this book to be highly valuable and informative. While there were instances where the author intentionally repeated certain points, I thought it was a bit excessive at times, especially when promoting other services of his own or in connection with him. Nonetheless, the book provided practical and helpful insights, making it one of the most informative books of its kind that I've read. Additionally, it was quite inspiring. I would highly recommend it.

I liked this one. It has been a little bit less didactic in the way it approached the problem. I also liked the personal experiences listed in the book, which made it all the more authentic. It was a little repetitive sometimes, but I think it's a genre trait in these self-help books. Only the very last chapter was something that really didn't resonate (see, what I did there?) with me, but overall I found it very useful and a great experience to listen to.

It was one of the most searing images of the twentieth century: two young boys, two princes, walking behind their mother’s coffin as the world watched in sorrow—and horror. As Princess Diana was laid to rest, billions wondered what Prince William and Prince Harry must be thinking and feeling—and how their lives would play out from that point on.

I was surprised that I really liked this one. I'm not at all familiar with the daily gossip of the British royal family, nor can I see that I'm interested in it too much. Still, I find it that I really enjoy audiobooks that are biographies, especially read by the author himself. And this was the case here. I presume that Prince Harry had a really good ghostwriter too, but it was his narration that made the book feel very authentic. I think I cared more about the little details of his life than the scandalous parts, but fortunately, there was way more of the former than the latter.

Historia
Tom Segura is known for his twisted takes and irreverent comedic voice. But after a few years of crazy tours and churning out podcasts weekly, all while parenting two young children, he desperately needs a second to himself. It’s not that he hates his friends and family — he’s not a monster — he’s just beat, which is why his son’s (ruthless) first full sentence, “I’d like to play alone, please,” has since become his mantra.

I normally listen to non-fiction only, mainly bibliographies of people I like or find interesting. I don't really like or liked essay collections before, but now, after this one, I don't really know why I was skeptical about them. This was really fun. Even better than an autobiography while still showing a lot of insight into the author's life. I really liked it and found it hilarious too.

Historia
Since his first performance at the legendary New York nightclub “Catch a Rising Star” as a 21-year-old college student in fall of 1975, Jerry Seinfeld has written his own material and saved everything. “Whenever I came up with a funny bit, whether it happened on a stage, in a conversation, or working it out on my preferred canvas, the big yellow legal pad, I kept it in one of those old school accordion folders,” Seinfeld writes. “So I have everything I thought was worth saving from 45 years of hacking away at this for all I was worth.”

I really like Jerry Seinfeld. I adore his stand-up specials and the series as well. But, still, this was a strange one for me in the beginning. The structure of the book (although it is stated clearly in the description) was really unlike anything I read or listened to before. But really soon it really grew on me and it become my go-to listening while I had any spare time. I listened to a bit every morning while doing chores or driving and this is perfect for this kind of listening. The bits are short and funny and quite a few are brilliant, actually. I may have heard some of it in his shows, but still, it was really fun to hear again. Also, I cannot imagine that this would have been even remotely this satisfying to listen to if it was not narrated by the author.
