Scandalously cute

This is cute. And one of a kind, if I may say so. It is a romantic suspense with Hollywood as a background, with an A-list actor and a mousy librarian as MCs, who are suddenly entangled with initially a missing person, only to find out there is something more to it. It was a bigger scandal, to be exact. I liked their meet-cute, how they have come to trust one another, and eventually, how they developed feelings with one another. As we went deeper into the mystery, it got more interesting. Although I have to be honest, there were times that I felt I missed out on some details or they were skipped from the narration. I am unsure, but I decided to continue listening anyway, thinking that more details would be revealed in the next chapters. This book did not disappoint as a whole. I wished there were more cute and sweet moments between the MCs. This is my first book by the author, and surely this would not be my last.

Aurally satisfying

I listened to this while trying to do some work in the office, and the rain and other background noise made it a relaxing listen. I should also add that the narrator has a soothing voice, too.

Heavy yet gripping

This will be my favorite from the series. I love that it was predictable, because it means that what I want to happen to the story indeed happened and I think the MCs deserve it. Just goes to show that no matter the mitigating or underlying circumstances, everyone indeed deserves a second chance.

The performance from the narrator is also great. I love that Teddy Hamilton had this brooding tone, matching that with the hero. Jillian Macie also did a great job. She also matched the heroine's sass and wit with her voice. And because of that, I cannot put this one down.

I cannot wait to read/ listen to Sophie's story next!

The next generation series truly hits different for me. Like I found myself shiver from their love language. But what mademe continue reading the series is still the family dynamic of the Adlers. Good thing this was a novella otherwise it would take me even longer to finish this.

Cute and adorable

Who would have thought Lady and Tramp would spawn 4 adorable puppies? Of course one of them would be different from the others and his adventure is adorable and funny.

Lesson here is all of us are unique in our own little way. If that makes sense.

The good thing about this version is that they included the real sounds of the animals featured in the song. What better way to teach children about animal sounds than this version?

Darkish, stalkerish

Thank goodness this author has one of her backlist in the Plus catalog it gave me a chance to read one by her. And I must it was okay. There were dark twists and turns, sure. But I deemed them predictable I was not surprised when things unraveled. The groveling was cute, though. I can just imagine the effort.

Shoutout to the narrators, Aiden Snow and Cindy Kay. Cindy's male voice almost sounds like a man and Aiden's Russian/ Ukrainian accent is practically on point!

Not your usual sleepover

I think these kids had it easy. When Froggy cannot sleep at his friend's house, he invited his friend over at his house so that they can have their sleepover there. But then his friend was not comfortable in their house too so they practically went back and forth to their houses.

I did not experience sleepover until I was in high school so I am basically not sure what to think about this one. It was a good listen, though.

The story was short and cute, but the plot twist, if set in our side of the globe, would be a very common one. But because I knew this set in the US, I did not see that coming.

Now the big question is, where did that smell come from, really?

This gives us an overlook of what goes on before and during winter in the animal world, especially those who goes to hibernation. As someone who is experiencing snow/ winter for the first time, I felt this is just an appropriate read for me.
