Good Fun Crime Story
Revisado: 10-30-21
It is a great crime novel with many characters and twists. The characters easily represent people whom I think readers would identify with in real life. I chose this for a book club read. I think it was a good choice as there are many twists and characters to intrigue a discussion. It also isn't vulgar or offensive in language. The only reason I gave 4 stars in overall and performance is for the narration. It was good but because it was done by one person I had a hard time following character changes. I had to listen to a few chapters over to clarify the characters. Also, I realized the narration would go from first, second & third person often. Once I got my mind wrapped into the narrator's presentation of the characters and story line I loved the read. All in all it was enjoyed and I highly recommend it. Looking forward to reading His next book.

I read this for a book club book. It's a great stimulating topic for discussion. Having read some on the author about her life explains her deep knowledge of her subject matter.

Historia
From the day that old Nana Reja found a baby abandoned under a bridge, the life of a small Mexican town forever changed. Disfigured and covered in a blanket of bees, little Simonopio is for some locals the stuff of superstition, a child kissed by the devil. But he is welcomed by landowners Francisco and Beatriz Morales, who adopt him and care for him. As he grows up, Simonopio becomes a cause for wonder to the Morales family, because when the uncannily gifted child closes his eyes, he can see what no one else can - visions of all that’s yet to come, both beautiful and dangerous.

Historia
Beyond Tim Tebow's exploits as a Heisman-winning football player, he is widely known and respected for his exemplary character and personal excellence, which have made him a role model for millions. When Tim interacts with the public, he often encounters people who feel "stuck" - unable to take action on matters ranging from daily life to pursuing lifelong dreams. In response, Tim often identifies a crippling fear or lack of courage, to which he advises: "Now is the time to take some risks, to quiet the voices of defeat, to step forward and make a mark, because this is the day."

Good read for inspiration

I listened to this book on a long drive. It was a good reminder of how we should be every day. Tebows are a close special family with great examples of life priorities. It was a book I think younger singles would enjoy and learn about making choices.

Historia
Empire of the Summer Moon spans two astonishing stories. The first traces the rise and fall of the Comanches, the most powerful Indian tribe in American history. The second entails one of the most remarkable narratives ever to come out of the Old West: the epic saga of the pioneer woman Cynthia Ann Parker and her mixed-blood son, Quanah, who became the last and greatest chief of the Comanches.

Historically informative
Revisado: 02-18-21
This book should be required reading in public schools. It was well written of many historical accounts without opinion. The USA has become so preoccupied with political correctness it has forgotten it's history.

Historia
Twenty-one-year-old Jenilee Lane's dreams are as narrow as the sky is wide. She doesn't imagine any good could come out of the tornado that has ripped across the Missouri farmland where she's made her home. But some inner spark compels her to take action. To rescue her elderly neighbor, Eudora Gibson, from the cellar in which she's been trapped. To make her way to the nearby town of Poetry, where the townspeople have begun to gather in the only building left standing. To collect from the devastated landscape fragments of life that lie strewn about in the tornado's wake.

A good story about true to life situations. Audible was good. Characters voices were easy to follow. In tragic times it changes people for the good or the bad.. fact is change is inevitable.
