Sienna and Razor start out rough but find they actually have a lot in common Lots of action, excitement and catching the bad guys. I love it when the team sweeps in with the helicopter! Listen for more thrills!

WHY CHANGE NARRATOR?

The story is engaging as usual. But I began listening expecting to hear familiar Luna and Grimlock voices and instead heard Scout Randall's voice. I almost returned it at that moment but decided to see if the story made up for it. And, it did.

I tried, I really did. First the virtual narration is awful. Inflection and any emotion in the text is completely lacking. The stories have the typical beginning, arc and ending. I think if the narration was actually what it should be I would have enjoyed them. There were funny moments in the text but the narration didn't have any change in tone at all. It's like listening to someone reading an instruction manual. To the author, spend the money on a human if you want to have audible books.

A Year of Love, Growth and Moving Forward

This book is about a widow and her adult children in the first year after the sudden death of her husband. We are introduced to Elyse, the widow and her unique circumstances with her husband of many years. As well as her children who deal with their father's death in different ways depending on their perception of him. Tim, the dad was away on work most of their marriage and their childhoods. How are we supposed to behave when the person we lost has really been absent a long time?
You would think since he wasn't there much that his death wouldn't affect their lives much. But, that is not the case. His passing makes them all reevaluate their lives and priorities. This book is that story, each of them make decisions, while also dealing with unexpected changes. Life throws the unexpected at us all of the time, and it's how we deal with that which matters. For one person, a surprise brings chaos and for another the same surprise brings opportunity. Its all about perception and Elyse and her family show us how to see the opportunities in those events. A lot happens over that first year and I recommend that you take the journey with them.

Great storyline and so happy its on Audible now

Angel finds herself in a world of trouble but the men of Shepherd Security have what it takes to protect her. I was already a fan of the books and Margaret chose great narrators for her Audible debut.

Jessie Must Decide Who She Wants to Be

Jessie and company know that trouble is coming and think they need help. They contact the basajaun's people to possibly form an alliance. Jessie has neglected the house for a while to her detriment and has a lot of work to do. Jessie must decide to fully join with her gargoyle if she is to save them all. Of course, all of the regular wacky characters keep us laughing throughout. My husband always gives me the side eye when I listen to these books as I almost fall off the seat.
A new character at the end promises another eccentric addition to the house that should prove entertaining. I can't wait for the next edition to see what happens.
Nicole Poole once again did a wonderful job with the narration.

A Very Weird Story and Too Short

I enjoyed listening to this short story, but could have been developed more I think. The ending was a BIG surprise and leaves one thinking,..hmmm. It falls sort of in the dystopian genre with a spunky heroine and a grumpy military man ultimately finding love. The synopsis for the story, "make a choice between the caste system, etc" on Amazon isn't really accurate though as the other man wouldn't even be in the running for me.
It was worth the sale price.

Toni has always been independent and tough having grown up in a big Italian family with mostly men. She finds herself with empathy absorbing other people's emotions. She can barely deal with her own, much less others. She ultimately finds herself in a predicament and has to depend on someone else. With the other 2 ladies, she continues to get into sometimes dangerous and sometimes hilarious situations while solving mysteries while keeping her new gifts a secret from her family and the police.
I love stories that make me laugh out loud and this one absolutely did!
