Still love it
Revisado: 07-20-21
This was the first audio production instead of a book I listened to on Audible. I’ve listened to it 3 times now, and each time it has been a great story and reminder of what and who is important in every day life that is taken for granted.

Historia
Welcome to Derry, Maine. It’s a small city, a place as hauntingly familiar as your own hometown. Only in Derry the haunting is real. They were seven teenagers when they first stumbled upon the horror. Now they are grown-up men and women who have gone out into the big world to gain success and happiness. But the promise they made 28 years ago calls them reunite in the same place where, as teenagers, they battled an evil creature that preyed on the city’s children.

Glad I gave It a 2nd chance
Revisado: 05-25-21
On my first listen I found myself getting lost in the timeline and ended up feeling like I was missing important information while trying to make sense of if an event was happening when the Bill and the gang were kids or adults. By the end of the book, I liked the overall story but was left with a ton of questions that were all answered but I ended up missing. Im sure it also didn’t help that it took 2.5 months from start to finish.
The 2nd time listening to this book was a much better experience all around and I would recommend It to any fan of the movies or someone looking to get into a good thriller. Glad I kept this one in my library and gave it another go!

Historia
Katniss Everdeen, girl on fire, has survived, even though her home has been destroyed. Peeta has been captured by the Capitol. District 13 really does exist. There are rebels. There are new leaders. A revolution is unfolding. It is by design that Katniss was rescued from the arena in the cruel and haunting Quarter Quell, and it is by design that she has long been part of the revolution without knowing it. District 13 has come out of the shadows and is plotting to overthrow the Capitol. Everyone, it seems, has had a hand in the carefully laid plans - except Katniss.

Tale of a strong ambitious character turning soft and indecisive
Revisado: 02-15-21
The trilogy is exactly how I remembered it from years ago reading the books in print. Hunger Games was great and original with a strong main character. Catching Fire was still interesting but Katniss was becoming less a strong character and more of a 17 year old ball of emotion that can’t make her mind up about which boy she would rather be kissing. Mockingjay was basically more of the same as Catching Fire but turned up 10 notches. Teenage ball of emotion that still has no clue who she would rather be kissing and getting mad at Peeta because he actually sees what an emotional train wreck she’s been all along. The author should have kept Katniss a strong decisive take charge type of character instead of turning her into a weak, emotional unstable little girl that was worried about which boy to chase after.

Historia
Cujo is a 200-pound Saint Bernard, the best friend Brett Camber has ever had. One day Cujo chases a rabbit into a cave inhabited by sick bats. What happens to Cujo, how he becomes a horrifying vortex inescapably drawing in all the people around him, makes for one of the most heart-stopping novels Stephen King has ever written.

Disappointed
Revisado: 11-02-20
I’m not exactly sure why I was expecting more from this story. The characters made the same stupid typically bad cringe-worthy horror movie decisions that you see all the time. I’ve never dealt with a rabid animal before, but I just can’t image they would be as difficult to deal with as the characters that ran into Cujo made it out to be. Way too much time spent on the cereal commercials and the mascot. There was a time or 2 driving to work that the entire 20 minute commute was taken up by describing tv cereal commercials that, in my opinion, really didn’t add to the story and was hardly relevant to much of anything. It was mostly just filler for no particular reason and did not help to progress the story very much.

Historia
Civil war looms in the Bobiverse in this brand-new, epic-length adventure by Audible number one best seller Dennis E. Taylor. More than a hundred years ago, Bender set out for the stars and was never heard from again. There has been no trace of him despite numerous searches by his clone-mates. Now Bob is determined to organize an expedition to learn Bender’s fate - whatever the cost. But nothing is ever simple in the Bobiverse. Bob’s descendants are out to the 24th generation now, and replicative drift has produced individuals who can barely be considered Bobs anymore.

Another great addition to the Bobiverse series
Revisado: 10-08-20
I was nervous when I found out there was going to be a 4th book in the Bobiverse because I thought the ending to the 3rd book was a really good place to end the story and let your imagination create what might become of the bobs. Heavens River did not disappoint and Ray Porter remains the perfect narrator for this series.

Not one long story
Revisado: 09-01-20
I went into this thinking and expecting it to be one long story, but each section is a separate story involving Morpheus (the sandman). It was good, but once I realized each section was its own standalone story and I shouldn’t be trying to remember who all the characters were it was much better. I will have to come back and give this another listens since the first 3 or 4 sections had me a little lost wondering how they fit in with the previous sections.

Historia
In the summer of 1937, Amelia Earhart is the most famous woman in the world - a record-breaking pilot, a best-selling author, and a modern woman shattering the glass ceiling in the early days of aviation. And then she vanishes. In Tampa, Florida, 15-year-old Lizzie Friedlander spends her afternoons glued to her father’s radio, tapping into the enormity of a world she longs to travel. Lizzie can hardly believe her ears when she picks up a radio signal from a faraway source that sets her heart racing: “Amelia Earhart calling SOS!”

Revisado: 06-29-20
Got this title for free and thought it would be interesting from the description. At just over 2 hours long I decided not to listen to the last half hour. I tried for over an hour to give it a chance but I just had no interest in finishing this title. Nothing wrong with the narration, story just wasn’t up to par.

Interesting ending
Revisado: 06-04-20
I was not as into this book as the first 2, it just felt like it didn’t need to be added to the series with how A Dogs Journey ended. Was a fine book but I would catch myself spacing out and thinking that this story didn’t seem as necessary as the others.

Interesting take on a persons initial experiences in heaven. Made me wonder who I would meet, whose life had a significant impact on me and who have I maybe had a significant impact on without knowing it at the time. Well written and Mitch also did a great job with the narration.
