Historia
Charlie Tannehill and her twin sister, Maggie, are just eight years old when an unfortunate scientific discovery upends their world—and the world order. The revelation? Extinction, encoded in every creature’s DNA. The expiration date for humans? Only four generations away. A decade later, unsure of what tomorrow holds, Charlie and Maggie enroll as counselors in a government-run human-husbandry program.

Incredible, Captivating, and Unforgettable
Revisado: 04-22-25
This is end of the world story is beyond impressive-how it written, how it begins, unfolds, and ends; told through the eyes of a woman seeing her world disintegrate and doing everything she can to slow or stop humanities demise. The story is relatable in the most heart wrenching way, and I struggled to shut it off in hopes of finding sleep.
Well done!

Fun - a unique take on the genre
Revisado: 01-30-25
This is a fun story with relatable characters, an intriguing world, and an interesting but not overly complex magic system.
Soundbooth Theater’s work is, as always, top-shelf, and Cathryn’s narration is fantastic.

Historia
Out-of-work Latin teacher and borderline alcoholic Austin DeSantis is determined to spend his final days in the arms of a prostitute—that is if the aliens don’t exterminate humanity first. But when the aliens land at the Vatican, begin speaking Latin, and reveal themselves to be Catholic, the world turns upside down. Pressed into service as a translator and thrust into the center of humanity's first contact with a cryptic alien race, Austin must uncover their true intentions before religious turmoil rips the planet apart.

Incredible story
Revisado: 11-18-24
This is one of the best written stories I have listened to in quite a while-period. It is an adventure filled with despair and redemption, and while told from a Catholic perspective, it will lift the soul of anyone.
While not the typical fare for Sound Booth Theatre, Jeff Hays and his team have gifted the world with an immersive performance worthy of this story. Well done.

Historia
Sorry... Really? Thrust? Anyway, Danny Kendrick was a down-on-his luck performer who always struggled to find his place. He certainly never wanted to be a hero. He just hoped to earn a living doing what he loved. That all changes when he pisses off the wrong guy and gets sucked into a fantasy realm straight out of a Renaissance Fair. Getting used to a new world is tough. It's even tougher when you're surrounded by axe-wielding barbarians, super hot elf assassins, strange magic, and a jaded System that doesn't appear interested in being charged with yet another companion.

Everything was perfect until he lost one case—the case where he also lost his brother. So Finch retired. From magic. From PI work. From everything. Bree Blackstone, a twelve-year-old witch, doesn’t know or care about any of that except Finch’s reputation. In the middle of the night, she bangs on Finch’s door. Her mother has been murdered, and now the assassin is after Bree as well.

In the distant past, a time of magic and swordplay, there lived Harold, the mightiest lich of all, a master of arcane sciences, and a challenger of gods. After reaching the pinnacle of his power and finding it surprisingly bland, Harold waged a cataclysmic war against the gods, aiming to shatter the very system that confined him.

This book was fun, punny, and well written. It goes without saying (so I’m going to say it anyway) that anything produced by SoundBooth Theater will be well acted and produced, yet this may be the best narration from JTJ - immersive and funny to the bone.

The story and acting are wonderful and engaging, almost captivating. The production would benefit from De-Clicking both electronic and manual to remove noises that a normal person will miss but an audiophile will hear.

Historia
Ida Pederson was an executive at ‘Nyberg Shoreline’ when she was sent to the small Northern Irish village of Port Kriel to diffuse tensions between the company and the local community. When an unexploded bomb was identified on the seabed near Nyberg’s windfarm, Ida sent a local crew of eight men to investigate. That night, only two men returned home, barely alive and unable to speak of what had happened out at sea.

Desperately in need of a narrator
Revisado: 08-07-24
This story tries to emulate the style of the radio dramas of the early 20th century. It attempts to use sound effects to set the scene and manage the transition between scenes and fails. The only salvation for this story would be to cut 70% of the special effects and add a narrator.
The actors are great, the story seems to have potential, yet this presentation is a disservice to their talents.

Wow... flat out the best audiobook, period.
Revisado: 06-28-24
I tip my hat to you, Pirateabba; of the almost six hundred stories in my Audible library, this is by far the best. There are no spoilers, but the chapter titled Rats is a masterwork of the writer's craft. Well done!
As always, Andrea’s narration stands in a class of its own, and her peers are few. Her talent elevates anything she reads.
Together, these masters of their arts have created a masterpiece.

Engaging Story, Outstanding Narration
Revisado: 05-02-24
The concept and “capture” in this LitRPG story are believable and unique. The hero is relatable and the antagonist has more depth than is typically found in this genre.
The performance? This is Sound Booth Theater; expect top-tier acting, special effects, and music, all with a cherry on top.
