Historia
All newly minted pediatrician Jamie Malek wants is to borrow a roasting pan for Christmas dinner. Unfortunately, that requires her to interact with Marc—her best friend’s troublemaking brother, who’s now a tech billionaire. He’s the one who got away. She’s the one who broke his heart. Outside, a howling blizzard. Inside, a crackling fire. Suddenly, being snowbound with the man she never expected to see again might not be such a bad way to spend a winter’s night.

Holy run on sentence, woman!
Revisado: 08-25-22
Okay, this is going to sound rude and I honestly do not mean it that way, but the person reading this should've practiced first. I don't believe I heard a pause in the first three chapters and it is a miracle I even finished! Her voice is pleasant but her reading style kept reminding me if Cher on Clueless talked in one sentence for the entire movie. The other thing that bothered me was the "P" sounds blowing in the mic. There were also random voice inflections that came from nowhere. Like a 5th grader reading a play.
The story was okay, I love the premise, but there were so many things that could have been said differently and perhaps better. I believe there were filler words (a lot of them) for word count.
I say read/listen to the story, it is worth reading, but be patient as you will need a lot of patience to make it to the end.

Previously known as the Murdaugh Murders Podcast, True Sunlight is the intersection of True Crime, journalism and systematic corruption. Celebrated journalists Mandy Matney and Liz Farrell are taking their style of reporting beyond Alex Murdaugh and his co-conspirators. We expose the truth wherever it leads giving voice to victims like Mica Francis, Sara Lynn Colucci, and Christa Gilley, while still pursuing justice for all the victims you've met so far like Stephen Smith, Dallas Stoller, and others. True Sunlight is the antithesis of True crime. True Sunlight values accuracy over "...

Probably one of the most well researched podcasts
Revisado: 09-28-21
I am thoroughly enjoying this podcast. I can't believe that I was so right about the father. I knew nothing about any of this and said from the beginning that this mystery is a case of familial homicide. Mandy expertly picks apart the investigation at every stage and shows how the police and various agencies failed in each case. I love how she puts it in relative order and places details so we can tie them back mentally to previous clues without needing an intricate clue board to keep up with it.
Now, as for the voice complaints: Mandy is the one that brings my attention to her voice. I did not notice it until she had highlighted those critiques at the beginning of all the episodes thus far. I don't have a problem with her voice, but she does sound disinterested. She brought up the Kardashian reference and I can't "unhear" it. I feel if she would move beyond bringing it up, the critique won't stand out so much. I really enjoy this journalist and feel she will do amazingly large things and be a credit to justice everywhere. Now, POD ON!

When Kate wins an item at her children’s elementary school auction - an all-inclusive trip to SeaView at Sandpiper Bay - she thinks it’s just what her family needs after a decade of career disappointments and a marriage on its last legs. Historia
Late October 1909, and the season of ghouls and things that go bump in the night has descended on the village of Littleton Cotterell. Lady Hardcastle and her trusted lady’s maid, Florence, find themselves hosting a colorful cast of actors whose spooky moving picture, The Witch’s Downfall, is being shown to mark Halloween. But things take a macabre turn when the first night’s screening ends with a mysterious murder, and the second night with another. One by one the actors turn up dead in ways that eerily echo their film.

I loved this series. It's Agatha Christie's Poirot meets Miss Marple and Kerry Greenway's Phryne Fisher's Murder Mysteries. I am a huge Agatha Christie fan, so I was so pleased by this well written series. I loved it so much, I can barely wait for the next one.

While not a regretful read, there were parts that the author went way out of the way to explain a back story that lost me. I am glad I finished, but almost stopped listening a few times.

I love that I'm on the edge of my seat over a genealogy mystery! This series has elevated the subject even more so in my personal opinion. Jefferson Tayte is just as powerful a character as Robert Langdon. this author is fabulous!

I was drawn to this story by the very likable characters and good story. It progressed nicely and had a good plot. My only remark would be that it resolved too quickly and too neatly. I can't wait to read the next book!.

I'm glad I finished this book.
Revisado: 08-05-18
I almost didn't finish this story. I'm more of a bury-er than a dig it up and deal with it kind of griefer kind of person in some aspects. This book showed me what lightening the baggage can do for your life. I ended up loving it. I could relate to her gardening as it kind of resembles mine.
