I went in with low expectations, as novel adaptations of popular video games are very hit or miss. However, I was pleasantly surprised at how engrossing this was. I will definitely be picking up the other titles in this series. I guess my only criticism was that while the action was easy to follow and flowed very smoothly, there was a slight lack of detail in the settings that made the story just a little hard to follow at times. Big props to the author for keeping the action smooth and visceral.

Well done, albeit a little too short

Always a fan of Rebecca Lawson's great work, and this is no exception. My only complaint, if you can even call it that, was that it's just a little too short. Felt like this could’ve been the introduction or the first act of a much larger story.

I was really engrossed into this one from the beginning. Such an easy listen and I was never bored. It was clearly written by someone who actually has experience with the lifestyle, unlike others that we know (*cough* E.L. James), it was refreshing to not have our hands held through it either. Honestly if this story had any criticism at all, it would perhaps be that the story was a little too perfect? Kind of played out like a romantic lifetime movie with a crisp and clean happy ending. I don't mind it at all, but that was just something that flashed through my mind as I was reading. It's well worth the buy and listen!

I really don't know where to begin. This was probably the worst Jack Ryan Jr book, or any Tom Clancy book for that matter, that I've ever read. it took almost an entire year to finish comma because it was just so uninteresting and uninspiring. the very beginning and the very end were the only action-packed highlights. none of the villains were memorable, and it was hard to tell who was which because they all seemed to be the same character type. the story went absolutely nowhere and didn't even end on a happy note... Junior doesn't even save the day. For the love of Tom Clancy, please do yourself a favor and skip this book!

I expected a great motivational read but ended up with a college science textbook. It was about as much fun to read as one too. The author uses the word Discipline" so many times in this book, I think she has a fetish for the word. Less than 2 hours on audible and the second half was all testimonials. Honestly, this book touches on absolutely nothing new that hasn't been explored in countless other books, and quite frankly, this book feels very half-assed. I will not be recommending it.
