Historia
One day, I was a regular college student, working a boring job and studying for finals - and the next, I was transformed into some strange creature of the night. Now, I’ve got powers I don’t understand, I can change my appearance with a thought, and I’m having all kinds of odd...cravings. If I thought all this was gonna get me out of going to college, though, I’ve got another think coming. Nope, I still need an education.

FMC is terrible
Revisado: 04-04-25
I've never read/listened to a RH where the FMC hero blames the men she forces a bond to get angry with THEM for not sleeping with her. The men in this book have NO choice but her, multiple times throughout the books 2 of them often tell her they don't want her but then she mentally and emotionally abuses them. She almost forces herself on one of them when she bardges into their room and tries to guilt them into bonding with her. It's gross. She changes her appearance and promises to be anything he wants when won't sleep with her.

Absolutely Awesome
Revisado: 03-24-25
I usually don't like books with no male narrator but the woman who does this book is fantastic at making sure everyone sounds just a little different. This is one of my all time favorite bookseries so I hope they narrate all the books.

Not worth the time
Revisado: 08-14-24
The narration is horrible, it sounds like a 12 year old which is akward for a romance. Worse the FMC makes no sense. She has no life skills but a masters in Pharmaceuticals, she alludes to being abused but there is no real reason or cause for it and she doesn't act like a survivor of abuse (she walks into stupid situations that could get her attacked with no sense of self preservation). She investigates a murder but admitted she has no idea what she is doing or what she would do if she found anyone. I had to stop reading when she is hunted by wolves, talked to by a weird guy who "read a report" before talking to her and agrees to a date, then goes home and takes sleeping pills to sleep knowing she could be being hunted. Wth?

I can't even
Revisado: 08-11-24
The FMC is weak and easily manipulated. She purposely exposes herself to people who are openly hostile to her and let's them abuse her. If they tell her something she takes it as immediate truth. The whole premise of this 'romance' is just forced proximity mating, not romance. The FMC states the whole beginning of the story that she doesn't want them, doesn't like them, and wants to go back to her sad and abused life where she has no future, friends, or hope. She won't let them feed but knows that they need to feed for not just power but to live... but can only ever feed from her ever again. What does she expect to happen to them when they can't feed? This FMC is beyond stupid.
The narration is so bland and emotionless that us painfully listen to.

I don't even know how to describe this.
Revisado: 08-11-24
This book goes nowhere. The FMC has a mysterious but tragic past you don't learn anything about, she is a supernatural but we have now idea how or why, her family sold her but we aren't told why or even what she was sold into. We don't even find out what abuse she suffered. She is weak willed and easily controlled, and when confronted she cries and falls apart. If you can believe it 1 of the 3 MC's are worse. He is abusive and abused and knows it but won't change it, he is weak willed, easily controlled, and hurts people just to cause pain.
This is not a romance as there is no dating, 2 kisses, and the characters don't like or respect each other.

Let alone the mysterious Dauphine, who might be closer than Shara ever suspected.

Revisado: 08-09-24
The author gives the FMC ultimate power but every time power is required to win something the author takes it away. Apparently the only thing reliable in this series is period blood. Gross.

Seriously?
Revisado: 08-08-24
It's hard to feel sorry for a character who has a harem she supposedly loves but has a single favorite she will sacrifice the others for. The FMC walks into a huge trap, cries when it doesn't work exactly likes she wants, then cries when people suffer because she was overconfident. The end chapters make no sense.

Historia
The things of nightmares haunt my dreams. Secrets lurk around every corner. The world I've entered isn't all it seems, but as a newcomer, questioning the Council isn't the safest move. Not when my guys are so entrenched in a world that I find dangerous. As Theo, Hiro, Ryder, Killian, Damien, and I try to find out how we fit together, we must also decide where we stand among the politics, class, and half-truths.

Breeding camp for children
Revisado: 08-05-24
This series makes absolutely no sense. When the MC's have an argument over spilled coffee the FMC runs away scared of them...only to decide the only way she can move forward is to prove the paranormal council is corrupted and against them. This jump is so jarring I had to download the book to see I'd there was a missed chapter. Then she sneaks off to break into the main building of allparanormal. She has no experience with anything like this and can barely use her powers but decides she can successfully do this. I just cant read this anymore.
I'm also extremely upset by the FMCs reaction to the argument her men had. One of them lashes out at her by calling her a name (completely out of character for him) and she completely breaks down. She cries and can't be touched and has flashbacks of abuse. From this one argument she completely breaks down and undoes every step they have made in the relationship. I just hate these cop out scenes that force story progression that makes no sense.

Weak
Revisado: 08-04-24
The FMC is extremely weak and pretty much controlled by the MC's. The world building is pathetic, a male only council of nightmare creatures that everyone fears but no one knows or understands. The MC's keep the FMC almost completely sealed off and ignorant of anything in her world. On top of that she doesn't even care that she is weak and pathetic as she does NOTHING to make herself more knowledgeable or stronger.

Torture
Revisado: 08-03-24
The first 2 chapters is a review of childhood torture. Apparently in this book it's better to be beaten to death over and over then go into foster care. The FMC character, while tortured, beaten, starved and worse gets various jobs before she is 16 and is great at everything. The paranormal world is barely described and is not involved at all. This book is absolutely terrible.
