I discovered Riley Nash this year, and he is FIRE. I will truly read anything and everything he writes. So, when the ARC audiobook for Bad Dogs became available on GRR, I jumped at the chance to listen! As such, this is my honest review and here's my bottom line: whether you prefer reading or listening, this book will break you and then build you up again. You will have all the feels, good and bad, as you stumble along with Scout and Roman. This is one of those books that I wish I could read for the first time all over again--and I guess, to a degree, I got my wish with the audiobook.

Since I already loved my first reading of Bad Dogs, I didn't realize this story could get better; but the narration truly elevated an already stunning book. The combination of Devon Ryder and Bryant Walker really brought Scout and Roman to life. I loved how both narrators emoted and supported the personalities of the MCs and the surrounding characters. Given that this story is both angsty and gritty, the narrators' vocal tones and general flow really connect the reader/listener to both the characters' big emotions and the oftentimes tense storylines. Truly, I cannot say enough good things about this book, audiobook, and author. I highly recommend picking up and/or listening to Bad Dogs!

Riley Nash is a true artist. This is the second book I have read/listened to by Riley and both times I have been blown away by the way he builds both the characters and the storyline. I read Bad Dogs first and couldn’t wait to backtrack to Jackson’s story in Show Me Wonders. I was lucky enough to get a copy of this audiobook from Gay Romance Reviews, and this is my honest review.

The flow of this story is absolute perfection as the reader gets their heart simultaneously ripped out and then pieced back together (several times). Oliver and Jackson’s love story manages to be both slow moving and insta-love at the same time. Toss in LOTS of angst, individual traumas, multidimensional side characters, and deep abiding love and acceptance between the two MCs and I was an absolute goner. I will now read anything Riley Nash writes—in fact, I’m off to drown myself in his back catalogue.

I also need to praise both Liam DiCosimo and Wyatt Baker for their fantastic performance. Together they brought this story to life! I am an avid reader, but I don’t think I would have enjoyed this story as much had I not experienced it through Liam’s and Wyatt’s voices. It was awesome!

This is the first time I’ve read/listened to anything by Chambers and Malcolm and it will definitely not be my last! Actually, I immediately purchased the sequel on Kindle upon finishing this book. I truly enjoyed this story. It was funny, emotional, and really showcased how a romantic relationship can grow from a platonic /friendship connection. Aaron and Lewis were so different in personality, and yet complimented each together as a pair. The surrounding characters and situations only added to the (good and bad) tensions between Aaron and Lewis as they navigated toward their HEA. This was a slow burn for me and not the spiciest of books. However, this in no way detracts from how great the story is or how much I loved reading / hearing it. Also, Simon Goldhill’s performance absolutely enhanced my reading experience. He did an amazing job creating the separate personalities of the MCs and the surrounding characters. You could feel the emotions of the characters flowing through his voice and it was a great listening experience! I honestly had a hard time stepping away from this audiobook when real life interrupted. I highly recommend Total Creative Control!

This was my first experience with Sarina Bowen and Elle Kennedy and I loved their writing! The relationship between the main characters was both descriptive and heartfelt. The dynamic flowed well and the spice was spot-on. I will definitely read more from this author duo in the future. The narration was excellent—as expected from Teddy and Jacob. Their voice work made the characters come to life, even the secondary characters. Overall, it was a great production and I can’t wait to get to Book 2.
