Beautiful Story
Revisado: 01-09-25
I’m not someone who picks up a “romance book”, but this book was recommended, so I tried it. I couldn’t put it down! Beautiful story. One of those books that just makes you feel good and you don’t want it to end!

Amazing and Eye Opening
Revisado: 12-09-24
Coincidentally I finished this book on the day the Assad regime fell-12/9/24. We don’t hear the horrible details of this murderous regime and I’m so proud of the author for sharing some of what the people of Syria have gone through. Not an easy read, but we’ll worth it!

So I thank my lucky stars that the Garricks miraculously give me a job, cleaning their stunning penthouse with views across the city and preparing fancy meals in their shiny kitchen. I can work here for a while, stay quiet until I get what I want.

As a nurse, I loved hearing the various experiences the author had with her patients and how each touched her life.
The narration was wonderful!! Very easy to listen to and kept the listener’s interest.

A Wonderful Listen
Revisado: 03-21-19
I love stories about WWII and this book didn’t disappoint. While it’s a novel, there is still a lot about it that could have reflected lives during the wars (it takes place around both World Wars).
The plot was easy to follow, the narration was superb and the storyline kept me involved until the end. I would highly recommend this audio book.

Middle of the Road
Revisado: 10-21-18
I didn’t love this book, but I didn’t hate it either. I have to say though that I was ready for it to be over. I didn’t like the accent the reader used for the father. It didn’t sound like Swedish American accent. It reminded me more of someone speaking English that was from India. I also didn’t like the voice she used for Hannah. I would have liked a more normal toned voice for her. It was darker than I had thought it was going to be, but that was okay. It just never took hold with me at any point. I hope others enjoy it more than I did.

Historia
When twin sisters Rose and Bel Enright enroll in The Odell School, a prestigious New Hampshire boarding school, it seems like the opportunity of a lifetime. But the sisters could not be more different. The school brings out a rivalry between them that few ever knew existed. And the school itself has a dark underbelly: of privileged kids running unchecked and uninhibited; of rituals and traditions that are more sinister than they seem; of wealth and entitlement that can lead only to disaster.

Great story line, just a little lengthy
Revisado: 10-01-18
I really enjoyed the characters of the book. The narrative was great as well. The only thing I would say is that it seemed to drag on a little in the middle. I think the story line could have been completely covered in less time. I never quit a book, even if I don’t like it, but I reached a point where I was just ready for more progression in the story.
