It is 1777, the Year of the Hangman, and Captain Isaac Biddlecomb is bound for Philadelphia with his wife and child in the Continental brig Charlemagne. Forced to run his beloved Charlemagne aground, Biddlecomb comes face-to-face with his mortal enemy, Royal Navy Lieutenant John Smeaton. Meanwhile, General Washington has yielded Philadelphia to Britain’s might. As Biddlecomb and his crew battle to reach the prized Falmouth, only shipwright Malachi Foote and a ragtag band of deserters from the Continental Army stand between the vessel and the seemingly unstoppable British Army.

once again one of my all-time favorite authors has written a wonderful book I cannot wait for the six one in the series to come out and see where biddlecombe and rum stick continue their adventures now that they finally have a full size frigate James thanks for a wonderful novel and I hope that you put the pirate round series on audible soon as that is my favorite of all your works

The author has taken great care to ensure that the story follows historical accuracy when it’s possible. The narrator adds an edge of excitement with a great story to tell. All in all I would highly recommend this book. Semper Fi
