All Lexi wants to do is get through the day at her boring temp job with Green Hand Insurance. That's until she discovers the vice president, Martin Dean, in a pool of blood and herself at the center of an investigation into insurance fraud.

Recruited by the joint task force working on the case, all Lexi has to do is work out who killed Dean and where the missing millions are. That's easier said than done when her sister insists upon the baby shower to end all baby showers, her wise-ass cop family just wants to keep her safe, someone keeps leaving her creepy gifts, and all the clues point to a seedy sex club on the wrong side of town.

As the bodies start to pile up, Lexi is on a race against time to find the killer and the money, before she's the next one in the murderer's sights.

Sexy Female fights crime and splits attention between two men (one not so reputable). Predictable, but fun.

I read a lot of books but it’s been a while since I enjoyed one as much as this one. Armed and Fabulous had a good story, a mystery to solve, and very likable characters. My all time favorite series is Stephanie Plum, and this is the closest I’ve come to that series. This book has similarities to Stephanie Plum but is also different. I highly recommend!

I almost abandoned this audiobook. I didn't enjoy listening to this narrator. I'm going read the book in a couple of weeks to see if I enjoy the story better. Fingers crossed!

The story line is good, draws you in. Unfortunately the narrator emphasizes words in a manner as she is trying to get young children enticed in the story rather than an adult story. Was difficult to listen fully..

The characters all melded well w interesting unique roles. Narrator was a little to “girly/ditsy” in tone and delivery, but got over it enough to complete the book.

Interesting twists

Lexi Graves is a temp employee at Green Hand Insurance.
At the end of the day's work, she goes to put some reports on her boss' desk only to find his body in the office.
While trying to hide from who she believes are the killers, she winds up in a closet with her supervisor who is also hiding from them.
It turns out that her supervisor in undercover with the police on a sting of the company.

Pro's:
Semi developed characters, some humor, and a decent bit of intrigue.

Con's:
I said semi-developed characters because I found several of them to be one-diminsional.
While I'm not a fan of romantic triangles in the books I read.
Lexy is hung up between her two amore's who from what I can tell, while both are cops, the only thing they really have going for them is they are hot.
At the end of the book, Lexi ha s supposedly chosen one of them (as in she says they are dating) when the other show up to offer her a job in his new company (instant daydreams of possibilities)

I listened to the audio book version of this story, and honestly the narrator was the best part of the story.

The storyline was entertaining. It was full of twist, and I appreciated the humor, The narrator’s voice was Monotone and emphasized the wrong words in a sentence. It didn’t add the inflection that you would anticipate from what was being described in the scene, such as a lilt, with a question mark ? or an emphasis with an exclamation point!
