This novel darts around in time which makes for considerable confusion in remembering which family members belong to whom. I loved the reflective prose and even got to appreciate the reader’s accent after a while. As with many novels the last chapter was a hurried tying up of loose ends which detracted from the overall novel’s pace.

Reading of this section of the book was hysterical....I wasn't quite vested in the story or series of story lines, but some of the reading moments...this one in particular...were very well executed.

Atkinson always delights, and this is no different. Just a wonderful family story about love, relationships and how we develop them.

Beautifully read and acted. The story teller kept the reader interested and engaged. Plenty of twists to keep the narrative fresh. All in all a delightful interlude of escaping into the life of a family’s trials and tribulations

I liked how focused the story was on one individual so we really came to know her. The reader seemed to respect the character and had kindness in her voice which influenced the listener.

Deep Dive

The narrator was suburb. I found myself sometimes just listening to the voice and not the story which meant I needed to rewind. For me the timelines were a bit mixed up at times but honestly I didn’t care as I loved the writing and narration so much.

I couldn't have read this as a written work, I had to listen to this story, and it took time to adjust myself to the point of view. But I am so glad I did. This story is truly about siblings, the layers of sisters over time. And I'm grateful for it.

This work weaves the threads, the waves, the shocks to the fabrics of lifetimes... layered, poetic, lyrical, magical and true. Searing, lyrical, poetic, there is masterful enveloping gorgeousness here. i've not enough breaths or precision of verbiage to express. will read/listen again & again. the audible is beyond phenomenal. Thanks so much for this work 🙏🏼❣️
