This series has taken me on such a ride with so many twists and turns that I didn't see coming. I love Trix she is so strong and this book truly illustrates this. She goes through so much, but comes out stronger in the end for it. I love how the narrators have brought these characters to life. They have spoiled in me in that I haven't been able to read the ebook version because I am so used to listening to their voices. I am almost sad to see this series end.

Book 1: So confusing I hated it. nothing explained until end. Barely motivated me to continue
Book 2: best of the series: intrigue, action, romance, satisfying.
Book 3: too much exciting conclusion. all action all the time, all 25 chapters=exhausting
Narration: made it all worth while
Over all: I'm not sure I'd recommend this one. I usually like EC stories, but this one didn't hit the mark. Not really an RH, too much mystery in the beginning, and then too much action at the end.

I enjoyed this series a lot. I was glad that all 3 books came in one set. It definitely made listening a lot easier. I enjoyed the story. It was different from a lot of the other books out there. I liked how it wasn’t predictable and kept you guessing. I liked the characters and the growth they had during the e book specially the guys. I liked the narrators and thought they did a great good job with all of the characters!

What a great story full of twists and turns! I love when a story surprises me and this one did it over and over again. I never knew what to expect as Eva slowly peels back the layers of this world, the characters, and the relationships between them! Everything is so well-developed that even though this is a supernatural world, it's believable and really pulls you in. This is definitely one for the re-read list!

As for the narration, I give them both 4 stars. They did good character voices and brought the story to life.

I absolutely loved this series. And getting to binge it all at once was the perfect thing to do. I listened to the entire thing on audiobook and let me tell you the narrators do such an amazing job that you feel like you are at the academy with them.
The storyline is great, just as you think you know what is going on. Nope wrong. And the message behind it all is brilliant. As always Eva Chase I loved it, and can't wait until I lose myself again in your magic

When I video edit this book review, I pictured the characters from the tv show, Shadow Hunters. I swear, they fit well for the roles. Anyways, What I love about this book it wasn’t predictable at all and yes, I was on the edge of my seat every time I turn to the next chapter. I truly wanted to know what happens next!!! As we know, Trix is the key to unlock the mystery of the magical curse in college. She fell in love with 3 guys, or was it 4? Anyways, it was a love pentagon and I truly didn’t mind how it turned out. Also, as I keep reading/listening, it’s funny how the song from little mermaid, Ursula popped up in my head, “those poor unfortunate souls.” Haha. In any case, great plot, great detail of scenarios, great writing style, and likable characters for sure! Yup, It’s an exquisite adventure to come by and lovely to get lost in it. So, if you are into paranormal gothic reverse Harlem, this is it especially when the audio for these characters are Lidia Dornet and Jason Clarke! My goodness, HOT, HOT, HOT!!! P.S. This is my 1st time reading books by Eva Chase and now, I am going to look for more books to read/listen by her!!!!

Such an amazingly different and dark story! Strong character builds and you are pulled in to every one of the struggles. The actual magic happening was a little strange since it wasn't really ever explained, and only few even had access to it. But! Great love story about overcoming difficulties and facing truths!!

Wow Eva Chase did it again. This is such a unique series. I loved it. I love the Beauty and the Beast aspect layered in. I will have to say that book three started out full throttle. You better hold on tight. I could have never guessed where this book was headed, but in the end Trix and her guys got their HEA. If you enjoy PNR RH give this series a chance. The narration is fantastic!
