I really enjoyed where the author was trying to go with the story but the writing was not great. I wanted to like the female lead but she seemed to be written by a high school girl and very unlikable. It made it very hard to listen with her trying to “fit in” and act tough. Just made me cringe and I couldn’t finish the series.

This was definitely a fun binge, it was steamy, it was action packed and entertaining. Definitely had many curve balls that took me for a fun spin. It was full of those which made it quite the adventure.

This is my first audiobook by Meg Xuemei X and I found it to be engaging. This is a reverse harem story chocked full of action, sizzling sex scenes, imaginative characters and magic! Evie had so much to overcome while also providing a safe and loving environment for her siblings. The only thing I didn’t understand was that even after coming into her powers she still needed her men, who had substantial powers of their own, to defeat the villain!! Especially since she was considered to be more powerful than all of them! Overall it was an enjoyable listening experience! Victoria Mei is a new narrator to me and her performance was great!!
