4/5 stars – Hot, unhinged, and absolutely my type of chaos

Diamond Devil was like being handed a lit match and told, don’t worry, it’s fine. Spoiler: it wasn’t. But I loved it.

This book gave me just the right amount of bad decisions, tension I could feel, and characters who had no business being that hot or that reckless. I was constantly flipping pages like, “Oh no baby, what are you doing?”—but also not stopping, because I clearly have issues and this story was feeding all of them.

Was it a little messy? Yes. Did I care? Not even a little. I wasn’t here for perfection—I was here for vibes, heat, and that delicious emotional chaos that makes you question everything.

If you’re in the mood for something a little rough, a little reckless, and a lot unputdownable… this one’s got your name on it.

It kept going from one point to another without explanation. It would have been so much better if the plot was explained att the beginning;. Of course it starts getting exciting toward the end of the book . Now i want to know what happens to Ilarion and Taylor, but will wait until Diamond Angel is on sale or free. Narrators did a great job.

The audiobook narration was great. My problem; and it is MY problem, is the angst. I had a hard time getting through the story as there was so much tension, drama, soul searching and self-sacrifice by the heroine (who I found likeable, but unlikeable, at the same time). That being said, I will read/listen to the next one because I have to know how they overcame the hurdles and complications! It had better not be a cliffhanger ... Did I mention how much I HATE cliffhangers?
