This is a compelling, in-depth look at Hitler's religious beliefs. From Hitler's views on Christianity to his reverence for nature and "providence," this book clearly outlines what role religion played in shaping Nazi ideology and Hitler himself. It's a bit dense and repetitive, but that's my only complaint.

Some have commented that there are problems with the narrator’s pronunciations. This is kind of humorous! The narrator is British and pronounces things the way a British person would;) He is very engaging and the story is fascinating as well as depressing and disgusting. The eugenics movement is a terrible blight on humanity.

very insightful and well researched work on the beliefs of Adolf Hitler. one would need to read this twice to have a better grasp of the technologies used by the author, however it's very helpful. a must read for any student of WII history .

Last words of the book. - "Ultimately, however he perished because his God could not give him life"

This is about the only stupid thing in the book but you have to put these things in here in order to get it past the (((publishers))) of course. It is wrong because even in the book he talked about how the individual is not important to the race etc.

Good book though.

What an Excellent book,it's an amazing book,Prof Weikart did a great job in investigating the answer to the question what's Hitler religion?,He examines Hitler's life very deeply and looked very well to every aspect of Hitler relationship to the religion either before or after he became the leader of Germany, what did he think about God, Christianity, Judaism,did he believe in God or an after life? , A very interesting topic and the book is worth reading.

I was looking for an unbiased explanation about religion and Hitler but the bias from the author was blatant. He clearly had an investment in making Christianity out to be positive and completely unconnected to the rise in Nazi power. But it wasn’t unconnected.
