I highly suggest reading the traveler series first. As a standalone, it is ok, but you wont get as much out of it. Narrator does a fantastic job.

I, Marcus: The Traveler's Journal Complete Collection is a solid fantasy story with great narration that really brings the characters to life—especially Marcus, who feels real and relatable. The story has a good mix of action and reflection, and it’s easy to get pulled into the world. The only thing that got in the way for me was the name dropping; it felt out of place and pulled me out of the story a few times. Still, the narrator is excellent, and if you like character-driven fantasy with strong voice work, this is worth a listen.

Tom Abrahams owns this series of books. His writing is clear, the subject handled well, and the story leaves you wanting more. I will read more of his books, soon.

Love this series. Wish Marcus could go on another adventure. Maybe we can get another journal book? Really enjoyed going back to the beginning from a different perspective.

This is a great read and addition to The Travellers Series. If you enjoy Marcus Battle and his adventures this a must read.
