The story teller creates vividly the different worlds of the book.Oscar Wild never really took time to give the story the moving endings you would expect.

Most of them are already made into movies. But if I remember right they all had a slightly different ending....

Never the less, I love Oscar Wild. But in the future I will only select his theatre pieces, Dorian Gray and Profundus.

Well, read and clear to understand. I’ve listened to quite a lot of others, and this is by far my favorite of the same exact stories.

These stories were excellent, I knew some well and others not at all. This was also the first time I’ve listened to Derek Jacobi as a narrator and he was just wonderful, character voices were easily recognisable and his tone and rhythm was perfect.

The gentleman’s voice was fantastic. He brought the stories alive. My father used to read these as well as O’Henry’s stories to us growing up. He laughed his way to Cantaville Ghost & cried reading nightingale & the rose. The latter is not in this collection but all the stories are excellent, full of wit & comedy.
