The story is good, but it feels like the editing was done by a complete novice and not checked before release.

Annoying Skips and such throughout

Lots of great action, story and spice.
This one makes you want more.
I'm giving this book 7.5 out of 5 stars.

this series keeps surprising me and gets better as it goes. it started off seemingly like any other stranger in a strange land story but keeps getting a little more complex and complicated as it goes. if you like a classic fantasy setting with cultivation and a bit of Sci fi you'll love this story. Jessica Threet as always did a fantastic job. 10 out of 10

Truly a great series so far. I really love the characters and the direction of the story arc. I like the magic mechanic and the MC “system”

Thiss was a great and fun book to listen to except for one thing. The authors introduced the standard rating system for each character. If. I was reading the book I would just skim over them, however, in listening to the book, you don't have that option. So I resorted to the 30 second advance button which seemed to work well.
The narrator, Jessica, was fantastic as always. 5 stars all aroound.
