Acerca de esta escucha

From the New York Times best-selling author of Dr. DOA comes the next Secret Histories adventure.

It's never pleasant being poisoned. It's even worse when you're marooned in another world with no access to an antidote. Since Dr. DOA has trapped Eddie and Molly in Other Drood Hall, they need to escape, and fast before the dastardly doc can murder anyone else. But first they'll have to fight off the MI 13, a military organization that has plenty of tanks and lots of heavily armed soldiers.

With the help of a fellow prisoner of the extraterrestrial variety, Eddie and Molly make their way home, only to find that things are more dangerous than when they left. Eddie will do anything to find the terrible secret that is Moonbreaker, including searching for a forgotten weapon in the Museum of Unattached Oddities; or facing off against Grendel Rex, the Unforgiven God, in the hidden heart of the Moon.

SRG never fails to deliver entertaining stories and this one is a fine example of the breed, with a satisfying conclusion to the story begun in Dr. DOA and is an excellent lead in to the next.

Gideon Emery is a wonderful voice for Eddie Drood, too.

Fine entry to the secret histories!

Another great installment in the Drood family and the Secret Histories! The characters are great and it’s entertaining to listen to how they continue to grow.

Simon Green and Gideon Emery brings us another great tale of the Droods. Packed with action, surprises, and wicked humor and fun. We can expect to be delighted from beginning to end. Only sad part is knowing that this is the Penultimate book in the series.

Moonbreaker is Rock solid

The ending of this book really comes out of left field and while I’m glad a lot of the fun little tidbits sprinkled although the series finally pay off. It’s a bit of a stretch

This book picks up right where the last left off and was action packed and definitely a book to remember!

As always, I loved it. Great story, great characters, and the narrator nails it. More!

It wasn’t enough to give us one book with Eddie dying from poison, yet never apparently suffering from any ill effects. Here we get a second book of Eddie dying. For the second time Eddie continues to battle, globe trot, and suffer no ill effects beyond an offhand comment about feeling tired. Really?!

Meanwhile, per the author’s usual formula, we have to wade through an entire book of time/dimensional travel and nonsense plots where, yet again, someone invades the allegedly secure Drood fortress.
Yet again, we’re introduced a new, never before mentioned Drood who reveals secrets and backstories via huge info dumps to convince us that, yet again, this threat is the biggest, baddest, most dangerous threat ever. And yet again, Eddie and his foe don’t interact until the very end of the book.

The kaleidoscope of kooky characters, magical gimmicks, and Excalibur fanfic was fun for the first few books. At this point in the series, it’s beyond stale.

Dead horse beaten… over and over …

I hope I have the editor to blame for the repetition of descriptions of people and places that were already introduced in this volume because I definitely have the author to blame for obvious formulaic disappointments. I have read the entire series up to this book and enjoyed nearly every minute. I laughed, I cried, I bit my nails but this book was so underwhelming I couldn't wait for it to end.

Jumped the shark
