Acerca de esta escucha

The number one New York Times best-selling author Jonathan Kellerman writes razor-sharp novels that cut to the quick. Now comes Motive, which pits psychologist Alex Delaware and homicide cop Milo Sturgis against a vicious criminal mind - the kind only Kellerman can bring to chilling life.

Even having hundreds of closed cases to his credit can't keep LAPD police lieutenant Milo Sturgis from agonizing over the crimes that don't get solved - and the victims who go without justice. Victims like Katherine Hennepin, a young woman strangled and stabbed in her home. A single suspect with a solid alibi leads to a dead end - one even Alex Delaware's expert insight can't explain. The only thing to do is move on to the next murder case - because there's always a next one.

This time the victim is Ursula Corey: a successful, attractive divorcée who's been gunned down - not a robbery but an execution, a crime that smacks of simple, savage revenge. And along with that theoretical motive come two strong contenders for the role of perp: the dead woman's business partner/ex-husband and her divorce lawyer/secret lover. But just as Alex and Milo think they're zeroing in on the most likely suspect, a bizarre new clue stirs up eerie echoes of the unsolved Hennepin murder. And the discovery of yet another crime scene bearing the same taunting signature raises the specter of a serial killer on a mission, whose twisted method is exceeded only by his manipulative and cunning madness.

Interesting story but would purchase the shorter version. The book was a bit too graphic.

Too Long

Not up to other Delaware tales. His being psychologist adds little to the story. This seems more Milo's story. He's a good character.

Plodding rather than exciting

As usual. a good read. While not great literature, it was still a nice way to fill out empty time with good entertainment.

Typical Kellerman

I really enjoy Jonathan Kellerman novels. This would be my 3rd one I listened to on Audible. Two of which were narrated by John Rubinstein who I think is the best voice for these characters. Great job. I will continue purchasing books here.

Great

left me "hanging." ended abruptly with many questions left unanswered. I was disappointed and probably will not read another John Kellerman novel.

BOOK IS JUST OKAY

John Rubenstein is why I keep listening to these adventures. A good reader can make or break an audiobook and Rubenstein has been such a reliable standby for Dr.Alex Delaware it is impossible to imagine anyone else reading his novels. Always a pleasure, and always an enjoyable if harrowing trip into the mind of Delaware's opponents. (Not to forget the gruff but solid Milo, of course. The LAPD is lucky to have him.)

Rubinstein is classic Delaware!

The narration was excellent per usual I Kellerman novel. The story had a lot of twists and turns. It was in many ways not as dark as his other novels and fun to follow as events and clues morphed Ito other clues. Anyone who is a Kellerman fan will enjoy this novel.

Excellent Novel. One of His Best

The big book was excellent as all of Jonathan Kellerman's books are. The narrator did an exceptional job.

My first audio book, what a joy!

This book was basically a yawner...too much time taken with meaningless over-descriptions, and a plot that...I already forgot the plot. Kellerman is normally quick, sharp, and humorous. Not so much here.

Not Kellerman's best...

Good but not his best. Wouldn't be the same without Rubenstein. Needed better ending. Feels like a trip to LA, very descriptive.

Good but not his best.
