It is her characteristic generosity rather than her love of animals that finds Mrs Pargeter supporting her friend Jasmine Angold at a charity reception for PhiliPussies, whose worthy aim is to rehabilitate stray cats from the Greek island of Atmos into caring English homes. Completely contrived yet very satisfying, this story is the perfect combination of pure escapism and dry good humor. The endearingly strong and savvy female protagonist in her late 60's has almost James Bond-ish access to high adventure. The author's narration is priceless.

I wish more of these books were recorded! I buy them as soon as I find them. This was a great mystery. I love the gadgets! It is light and cozy and a wonderful listen. The narration is awesome

Another great addition to the series. Can't wait for another one. Simon Brett is a great narrator and his writing is clever and quirky.

Love these lighthearted mysteries featuring older characters and some younger ones. Author does a marvelous job narrating his own story.

Loved both Mrs Pargeter books that Audible has added to its library. Fun characters, and I love that Simon Brett reads them. How about adding my favorite one - Mrs Pargeter’s Package?
